"Why the fuck are you smiling so wide Emmy?" Jane asked curiously, trying to glance at the phone that Emily was smiling so wide at. However, she just hid her phone.

Currently, Jane, Em, and I are outside of school since it had not ended long ago but Em here could not stop smiling at her phone.

"Come on, Em, spill the beans!" Jane persisted, her curiosity piqued as she leaned closer, attempting to catch a glimpse of the secret that had brought such a radiant smile to Emily's face.

"Nope," Emily said, furiously shaking her head and closing her phone.

"Is it just me Jane or does Emmy here have a secret crush?" I teased a small smile showing on my face. Emily just blushed deep red in response as Jane ooed.

"A girl or boy, huh?" Jane questioned in a teasing manner.

"A girl," Em, mumbled, smiling at the thought of her.

Jane leaned in closer, now sporting an even bigger grin. "Oh, you've got to tell us more, Em! Who is she? Do we know her?"

Emily's blush deepened, but her smile remained as wide as ever. "I'll tell you when the time is right. It's still early, and I don't want to jinx it."

I nudged Emily playfully. "Aw, come on, Em, don't leave us hanging! You've got us all curious now."

She chuckled, looking down at her phone, which still held the mystery source of her joy. "I promise, I'll share all the details soon. Maybe at the café sometime?"

Me and Jane shared knowing glances as we smiled. "Sure."

Just then, a car pulled over and I was happy when I saw mum in the window. She just smiled and said, "Get in Ari!"

I bid my friends goodbye before going in the car.

"Hey, mum!" I said, smiling as I put my seatbelt on. I glanced at the cup holder and squealed in excitement as I saw my go-to Gong Cha order. Caramel Milk Tea with no ice and with black pearls. "Thanks, ma!"

Mum just chuckled shaking her head. "Hi, darling. No problem. How was school?"

"It was good Mum! Riv, Alex, and I went skating during our common free period! I also got my English mid-terms back with a good 93%!" I replied, slurping on my drink.

"Good Job Honey. I am so proud of you," She said, smiling proudly.

It always warms my heart when mum or dad say that.

"Thank you, ma," I grinned. "By the way, where are we going?"

"Well, we would go to the bakery, which I closed for a day, and try to learn a new desert, then watch any movie of your choice in the cinema, and lastly, a walk to another place which is a surprise," Mum replied, taking a left turn.
