"So, you like the Catrina," I said in complete shock, referring to the old Catrina who moved away from school a while ago. Emily blushed but didn't say anything as she nodded.
Currently, it is early in the morning right before school. Jane, Emily, and I went to the café for a tiny friend date and now here we are, discussing Emily's love life. Yesterday was Preston's birthday and we all had a blast but today, unfortunately, we had to come to school.
"Once you get to know her away from her toxic and manipulative ex-friends, she is actually a really nice person," Emily defended making Jane and I chuckle.
"We don't care," Jane said as I nodded in agreement.
"Besides, she is actually chill," I continued. After that discussion with her in the bathroom and later after the entire Travis incident, Catrina and I texted once in a while. We actually became good acquaintances. And after the principal found out about how much of bullies her previous friends were, she immediately expelled them even though she lost a lot of trust funds from their parents.
"Yeah, but did you tell her yet?" Jane said. Emily shook her head.
"Anyways, enough about mine, is there anyone in your life Jane?" Emily asked as she changed the topic, wiggling her eyebrow.
"Not for now at least. But I have a feeling that there are two people in our friend group that are going to date pretty soon," Jane said, giving me a side glance.
I looked at her confused. "Who?"
"You and Theodore silly," Emily joined in.
"Wha..." I spluttered, my cheeks staining red. "Me and Theodore? Theodore and I? Ha! Joke of the century. That would never ever even happen. Besides, I don't even like him like that."
Besides, I really don't want him to die at the hands of my brothers even if I did.
"Really? Even your chemistry teacher seems to know that Ria," Jane said.
"H-how did you even find that out?"
"Never mind that. We have our ways. Theodore and Ariana sitting on a tree. K-"
"Well, would you look at the time!" I said, looking at my watch. "We got to go to school or else we will be late. Let's go!"
