"Ow Jane," I squeaked as Jane ignored me and continued to 'doll me up' (her words not mine) for the winter formal that was happening tonight. Currently, we were at Emily's house getting ready for the formal. The boys were going to meet us at 7 pm and now it was 6.30.

"Just a bit more Ria," Jane said, letting the last group of hair strands fall from the curler softly. "We got to enhance your god given beauty.

"God given beauty?"

"Yes," Emily said as she winged her eyeliner. "If Theodore didn't confess to you earlier, he surely will now."

"W-what," I said. I don't think I even need to blush. "I don't like him, and he doesn't like me Emmy. And that is the end of the story. You should just stop with your assumptions unless you want me to start teasing you."

Jane snorted as I started to put some blush on her. I am not wearing that much makeup only because I feel uncomfortable in it and get breakouts later. But I do love doing it to other people.

"You do know stage one is denial, right?" Jane asked.

I turned her face gently towards me so I could get a better view. "Oh, so now let's talk about Chris and you since we are talking about this topic."

Chris was a random guy in Jane's physics class who was her desk partner. They are pretty close and Emily and I have a hunch that Jane likes him.

"No, I don't like him." Jane spluttered, looking anywhere but here before she mumbled, "The ceiling looks interesting today."

"Stage one is denial Jane," I sang as I unclipped her front seeing the makeup was done.

"Wow, you both look beautiful. I surely did a good job," I said, patting myself as I saw Jane and Emily in their dresses.

"Thank you, Ria. Now, it is already 6.55 so you better start wearing your dress because you do know that those idiots are going to be on time," Emily said, shooing me into the bathroom. I locked the door and sighed before going to the black dress and wearing it,

I didn't even glance in the mirror as I gently fixed my hair back and went outside the room. Jane and Emily looked at me as the jaw dropped.
