♥ Chapter 15 - Avoid Answers ♥

"Nothing is wrong with me, Im fine.." I tried to reassure them, they have been trying to pry me open for the last few minutes and it started to get annoying for me.

"You're not fine." Ink stated blankly but I can feel worry and fear from him. It was a weird feeling to sense Ink's emotions because they were very faint.

"You.. how do you comfort others again??" Ink mumbled before he attempted to comfort me. "I- uh.. It's alright if you don't tell me the truth or just don't tell me completely, I understand." He tried atleast.

Instead of answering the questions like a normal person, I decided to switch the worry to Ink. I coughed, catching both of Blue and Ink's attention. "How can I feel almost no emotions from you, Ink?" I inquire.

"I-" Ink paused, sweating from all the attention of his. It seems like the turns have tabled. "Uh-.." He looked everything but not me or Blue's face, trying to think of an explanation.

Blue seemed to wonder aswell, even if he can't feel emotions but why not get into it anyways. "Yeah, how?" Started Blue, Ink had a look of betrayal.

"Dreamistryingtodistractyoubyputtingattentiononme!" Ink answered, very quick for anyone to understand.

I could sense that Blue knew what Ink was talking about, with the feeling of disappointment and growing worry.

This 'hangout' was becoming very awkward by the minutes that passed by. "We should head back to the base, we don't know if the Bad Sans are there- Y'know?" Ink cowardly flew from the scene, not literally.

"Ink is right, we should go back to the base." I agreed with Blue with a nod. "I don't sense anyone back there but incase they do a surprise attack, we should go." I stated.

Blue nodded, staring at the Ink puddle that Ink left on the ground beside a couple of Callalily, how convenient. If I remember correctly, Callalily means purity and magnificent beauty, while the other as a symbol of rebirth and ressurection. They look very pretty with their pink flowers that bloomed on the dark green leaves.

We both walked back to base without using portals or any magic, just enjoying the great view of nature unlike what Ink did and just portaled out. "I would love to visit the tree again, Blue." I smiled. "The clearing was quiet, only the chirps of birds could be heard, the breeze of the wind and the tree swaying ontop of us with their leaves falling." I described, almost going to a daze.

"WE COULD VISIT THAT PLACE SOON! BUT IM GLAD YOU LIKE IT!" Blue responded with a wider smile on his poker face, getting back into his usual voice.

"Yeah, maybe when we get another break.. We could visit." I mumbled, entering the house as Blue followed behind. "Don't burn the kitchen again Blue." I reminded him, Blue entered the kitchen nonetheless.

I teleported into my room and sat on the edge of my bed, daydreaming about whatever the readers wants. Normally, we would cheer up other monsters but the balance was tipping too much to the positive side. If there is too much in one balance, the whole multiverse would collapse in on itself. The only way to restore a balance is by trying to fix it by balancing it out but that would be almost impossible, there are thousands maybe millions of AUs out there.

I've faced pain, agony and grief in this new life but as the Guardian of Positivity, I have to do my job inorder for everyone to not suffer in the void to be broken and re-built over and over again. Even if you are broken, the void doesn't care if you've lost your mind, they won't stop even if you died, they will revive you.

I locked myself in the bathroom, locking it so nobody would come in at the wrong moment like last time..

I was about to take out my razor, a popular weapon to self harm for some reason and was about to start my very normal cutting session when the door flung open to reveal Blue. I hid the razor behind me.

"HEY DREAM!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Blue asked, I knew what my answer was now. "I was about to take a bath, Blue-" I answered, Blue was so embarrassed that his face flushed blue. "I- IM SORRY DREAM- I'LL KNOCK NEXT TIME-" Blue ran out of the bathroom, I felt so bad for him for embarrassing him.

I chuckled at the memory, though I still felt bad for Blue because he was still embarrassed about that moment. I would burst into laughter because his face would always have a light blush, I didn't tell Ink for the sake of Blue.

But I started to remember a few unsettling memories in my life. I wanted to cry so badly, I hated it..

"Brother, come back to me! We can start anew again! Please!" I was on my knees infront of a laughing octopus. I was never forgiven for my actions, I deserved it.

"S-stop! Stay away from me!" I tried to move my head to the side but the chains were stopping me from doing so. "This is only quick, brother~" Nightmare purred, walking closer to me.

I was out of words, I lay on the ground with so many injuries on my body. The murder trio only laugh at me suffering, Nightmare manipulated them.. "why?" Is the only thing I can muster.

"No.. Pull yourself together Dream, don't let them get to you!" I tried to keep positive and pushed back my sadness for the sake of everyone else. "Dream, you are the Guardian of Positivity. You are not allowed to feel negativity, it is disgusting." I told myself, staring at the mirror.

I didn't cut myself this time and I'm glad I didn't because Blue knocked on my door, waiting for a few seconds before talking. "DREAM! IT'S TIME FOR DINNER AND BE QUICK BECAUSE THE FOOD IS GONNA GO COLD!"

"Coming, Blue!" I responded, looking away from the mirror, heading downstairs.

NARRATOR's POV

Unaware to Dream that time, while they were staring at the mirror and deep of thoughts.

His reflection's eyes turned purple, before returning to normal so Dream couldn't notice it.
