~Tara's POV~

Books were stacked around me for the third day in a row. I locked myself into the library as much as I could to figure this out. I know whatever Lesso had in her is now in Dovey as she isn't her usual sunny self. No one else could tell except Millicent and I. She was fooling the whole school and I feared that Rafal was possessing her to get to me. I sighed heavily as I closed another unhelpful book. I felt a flicker of anger and my magic made the books shoot out in all directions.

"Ow!" I gasped and ran towards the sound. I found Lesso rubbing her head as she was laid starfish on the ground.

"I'm sorry! I didn't know anyone else was here." I helped her up and she let me. She opened her eyes and met mine briefly.

"I came looking for Dovey, I thought she was in here. She usually locks the door herself while in here." I bit my lip and looked down. What was I supposed to say to her?

"I haven't seen her." I turned around to leave but Lesso grabbed my shoulder.

"Wait. That wasn't my only reason I was over here." I closed my eyes but didn't turn around.

"I'm not the best librarian." I heard her growl and she spun me around to face her.

"Dammit Tara. Why are you avoiding me?" I shrugged and her lips made a thin line in anger.

"We are taking a break. What do you expect me to say?" I snapped at her and she looked shocked.

"Alright, feisty, but you're avoiding me more than usual. Why?" That was on purpose but she wasn't to be trusted right now.

"I'm just focusing on my studies. One of the students got three F's and I don't want to be distracted." I hope that was a good enough lie but I couldn't tell. She let me go and straightened up.

"If you see Dovey, send her my way." I just nodded and she left the library. I watched her go without shame and wished Rafal didn't exist. She never looked back and that hurt a little bit.

Little Princess...

I gasped as I heard his voice close by. I hurried out of the library and looked for Millicent. I found her in the groom room but she was with Dovey. I hid out in the curtains so watched them. Dovey looked Evil in this moment and I held my breath watching, waiting for something. I saw her eyes glow red and I saw Rafal where Dovey just was. The air became thick as his magic reached throughout the room and touched the mirror.

"See how he looks at her? She still wants him, he doesn't want you." In the mirror was a false image of Nicholas and I kissing under a tree in the garden. Millicent's finger lit up a bright blue and then became red.

"She doesn't deserve you. She's been tricking you since school started. Let's fix that, shall we?" Chills ran up my body as he spoke. A dagger formed in her hand when he finished talking.

"You know where they are..." I quickly hid further in and listened to both parties. One set of footsteps left but not the other.

"Come and watch the show. It's about to get good." I came out of the curtain and saw Millicent through the mirror. I walked up to the mirror and watched in horror as she got closer to Nicholas and a random Ever girl. I sneered at Rafal but he just smiled and pointed to the mirror.

"You may want to watch." I looked back and saw she held the dagger up in the air, aimed to kill.

"No!" I touched the mirror and it went back to being a mirror. I slowly looked over to Rafal who had a huge grin on his face.

"What did you do!?" I went to grab his shirt but I just grabbed Dovey's pearl necklace. She looked unimpressed but I didn't know what to say.

"Is there anything I can help you with Tara?" She moved me away from her and brushed off herself.
