Makena sat in the conference room, holding the spear that Shuri had made her. She had cleaned it of all the blood and yet it still felt like it was covered in it. Nat had to force Makena to get off the sofa and take a shower. Nat had never seen Makena so...lost. Like she didn't know what to do now that she lost Kenni, Zenna, Zach, Erik, T'Challa, and now Shuri. You could even count Wanda and Vision who she had grown close to. Maybe even Sam and Bucky too.

"This is a nightmare," Steve mumbled.

They were gathered around a table which had shown holograms of how many people were blipped. As that's what they were calling it.

"I've had better nightmares," Nat said.

Makena set the spear next to her and brought her knees to her chest, leaning her head on them with her eyes closed. "Hey. So, that thing just stopped doing whatever the hell it was doing." Rhodey stood at the door, referring to a device Nick Fury had last possessed. Apparently it was sending a signal to someone who must've been Fury's last resort to help.

Nat walked over to Makena and leaned down to look her Makena who had slowly opened her eyes. "Here come with me. We're gonna go to the kitchen after we check on the device. And you are going to eat," Nat said, more like ordered. She hated seeing Makena in this state.

Steve had told Nat earlier that Makena was refusing to eat, drink or sleep. She just sat somewhere in the compound and dazed off into her own little world. Which also meant her body was growing week without liquids or food. Makena let out a sigh and let Nat pull her up.

They all walked to the room where thr device was hooked up to some kind of battery charger. "What do we got?" Nat asked Bruce.

"Whatever signal it was sending finally crapped out."

"I thought we bypassed the battery," Steve said.
