Makena sighed in relief as everyone was back to the present. Well, not everyone. Makena's brows scrunched in confusion as she looked at Clint, seeing no Natasha next to him. "Did we get 'em all?" Bruce asked, but Makena was completely zoned out, wondering where Nat was.
"Are you telling me this actually worked?"
"Clint, where's Nat?" Makena heard Bruce ask. Everyone finally noticed her missing seeing as Clint had dropped to his knees, his face filled with grief.
Makena sighed, a tear falling from her eye as she had a feeling someone wouldn't come back. And she knew Nat would never let Clint die when he had a family.
Makena was the first to walk away, walking past Nebula, accidentally bumping her shoulder. "Sorry," Makena mumbled. Nebula glanced back at Makena, clearly unaware of who she was but she seen Makena in her memory drive.
Makena joined the others on the dock, leaning on the pillar as she looked up at the blue sky.
"Do we know if she had family?" Tony had asked. Makena kept quiet, unsure if Natasha had wanted anyone to know about Yelena. Steve only knew Yelena was a Black Widow but Makena was the only one to know she was Nat's sister. Makena shared a look with Clint and they both stayed quiet.
"Yeah. Us." Steve said.
"What?" Thor questioned Tony.
"Huh?"
"What-What are you doing?" Thor stammered.
"Just asked him a question."
"Yeah, no, you're acting like she's dead. Why are we acting like she's dead? We have the stones, right? As long as we have the stones. Cap, we can bring her back. Isn't that right? So, stop this shit. We're the Avengers. Get it together." Thor said, clearly in denial of Natasha's unfortunate death.
