(This chapter was actually inspired by the song Evelyn, Evelyn, and that song actually also inspired Evelyn's name)

I had been in bed all day. I think I had been smoking. I couldn't tell anymore.
Evelyn walked into the room, a worried look on her face.
"What do you want? Are you finally planning on moving out?" I asked, probably a bit too harshly.
"I...I just came in to talk to you...Kevin called me a couple minutes ago...he's worried about you..."
"Well, tell him I'm fine."
Evelyn frowned. "Streber...can I see your wrists..?"
My eyes widened. Had Kevin noticed? I pulled the sleeves of my hoodie so they covered my hands.
This sent a wave of panic over Evelyn. "Streber...show me your arms..."
Well. There wasn't any escape from it now. I unzipped my hoodie. I had been wearing a short sleeved Gorillaz T-shirt.
Evelyn walked up to me and grabbed my left arm. She scanned the scars on my wrist.
"Oh god...Streber, what happened...?"
I give her a defeated look. "Arnold died, remember?"
"No, between us...we used to be so close...we shared everything..." Evelyn hugged me. "Streber, I'm so sorry..."
We did used to share everything. How our day went, people we liked, things we wanted to do. But...I don't know...
"Heh...I don't know..." I admitted.
"Y-you know I have to tell Mom and Dad about this, right...?"
My eyes widened even more. "No, you can't do that!"
Evelyn sat down next to me. "Streber, it's for your own good."
"You don't know what's good for me! You've been trying to shove me deep in the closet for years!"
Evelyn stood up, appearing taller than she was before. "Because I didn't know if it was safe!"
"Why should it matter?!" I yelled. "It's my life!"
"And you're my brother! And I want you to be safe!"
"I'm not a baby, I can handle my own life!"
"I'm just trying to do what's best for you!"
I was beginning to lose it. "You're trying to control me is what you're doing! It's not your business what mom and dad think about me!"
Mom walked through the door. "Kids, what's going on?"
We both stopped. Both of us looked in her direction.
Evelyn looked back at me coldly. "Mom, I have something to show you." She then grabbed my arm. She presented the scars to her.
"Evelyn, stop!" I begged. But it was too late. Mom was looking at me with a face full of terror.
