Chapter 59: Streber

I watched Kevin pick out a pink sweater to wear under his uniform, and a pair of gray jeans ; his usual choice of outfit.
"Alright, I'll see you in...anywhere between 10 minutes and 2 hours." he said.
"Honey, you better not put us in debt because of the water bill." I replied.
"Alright, Streb, that was one time." Kevin laughed.
"Promise?" I smirked, starting to laugh a little.
"I promise~" He giggled.

After Kevin's shower, we decided to make brownies together. It was a lot of fun. We even put sprinkles on that were shaped like bats.
"Candy Bats!" I gasped at a moment of realization. "I'm always dressed as a vampire, not just on Halloween, but pretty much every day of the year, and you work at a candy store! It's just like us!"
Kevin giggled. "You're right, Streb."
Once we were finished making the brownies, which took a lot less time than we had originally thought, we took them into the living room, and watched Gilmore Girls as we ate.
"I can't believe we're already on the last season! What are we going to do together once we're done?" Kevin exclaimed.
"Believe me, I have a lot of shows to force you to watch~" I laughed.
He smiled. "Nothing too gory, okay?"
"Awwwwww but that's the best part!" I whined.
He chuckled.
I pouted.
He smiled and hugged me. "I love you so much, you dork."
"I love you too, Kev" I sighed.

I ended up falling asleep on Kevin's lap for...who knows how long.
"Streb..Streb, I have to get ready for work." Kevin said, trying to wake me up.
"mmm..." I tried to fight waking up.
"Sweetie, that means you have to get ready for the haunted house."
Right. Crap.
I shot up and said, "The haunted house, oh my god! Thanks for reminding me!"
Kevin smiled lovingly. "No problem, love."
I rushed to my room to put on my costume, a Victorian white button up shirt, black leggings, black boots, a magenta button up to put over the Victorian button up, and my black and green cape.
By the time I got out, Kevin was already in his full uniform, ready for his job at the Candy Club.
"Alright, Streb...I really gotta go." He pulled me into a hug and gave me a quick kiss. "Be safe out there, alright? Especially because Bob Velseb escaped, and...he could be anywhere." He said.
"I will, sweetheart...you be safe too, m'kay?"
"I will." Kevin smiled. "I'll see you later tonight, I love you."
"I love you too, Kev!"
Kevin smiled, a mix of love and happiness in his eyes, and he was out the door.
