I am so sorry, I've been procrastinating like mad, I have over 40 drafts - it took me several months just to finish this tiny thing!

Music lazily trickled into Ren's ear from the singular earphone. It was on quite a low volume, seeing as Ren and Martyn both had sensitive hearing.
His tail started to swish as a hand found its way between his ears and began to scratch. He leant into the touch and stretched his leg out.
Martyn took that as a good sign.
And he was proved right when he scratched a certain spot and Ren made a sort of whining noise, deep in his throat, and pushed against the blonde's hand.
Martyn scratched more determinedly in that same spot, and Ren's tail could have almost become a weapon in that moment, with the speed at which it swayed from side to side. The blonde chuckled softly. "D'you like that?"
Ren rolled over slightly and stretched his neck so that he could look up at him. His brown-and-blue eyes were just visible over his sunglasses, but they were the eyes of a very happy Ren.
He gave a head tilt that said, "Don't stop!"
So Martyn didn't.
He kept scratching for a long while, busying himself in the world inside his head - and there was no doubt that Ren was in absolute bliss - until he eventually pulled the dog-hybrid fully onto his lap.
He kissed the top of Ren's head, who in turn stuck his tongue out.
"Aw, you love me, really."
"Yeah, I do."
