Day of graduation
Year 850
--------------------------------------------Rain pours down upon the cadets as they run with heavy equipment on their tired backs. Green cloaks, with no emblems, cover the cold cadets shoulders, though I'm still shivering.
"Probably am going to get hypothermia from this," I mumble to Annie. She shift he head slightly to me. Her blue eyes matching the color of the rain.
"Cadets," Shardis yells, "Stop yapping and run!"
Immediately, Annie turns away. I also turn away, but innocently whistling as I do. She shifts her head to my direction, holding a hand over her mouth to cover the giggles.
"Pick up the pace, you lead legs!" The general yells to all of the cadets. He slows his horse to a trot, moving to the very back of the crowd.
"Your boots waterlogged, Arlert?!" He asks Armin, "Let's see some hustle!"
"Gear to heavy for you son?" The commander continues, "Then drop it, leave it in the mid. The Titans will have an easier time digesting you without the extra baggage!"
Armin looks exhausted. His eyes sunken and breathing heavily. I look into Annie's eyes and nod. She understands, nodding back, letting me do what I have to. I slow my jog to a walk, making my way to Armin.
Reiner is already beside him, taking Armins pack. Armins eyes reflect confusion.
"Seriously?" Reiner asks him before I cut in, making my way to the other side of Armin.
"Just focus on staying upright," I state to him calmly, "We are getting graded on this, you know?"
"Thanks," He breathes out deeply, "But won't they demerit you guys for helping?"
"Yeah," Reiner said, "If they find out."
I look over at Reiner. Jogging over to his side.
"You got him?" I ask Reiner. Be confidently nods, "Good, now I got to get back."
--
Reiner brown- the mind and constitution of a grass fed ox. Respected by his comrades.
--I sprint up to my spot next to Annie. She looks over at me curiously and we keep making our way to the unknown location.
"I'm no ones burden," Armin says furious, grabbing his pack from Reiner's shoulder, "You hear me?!"
He sprints into the middle of the crowd, some how ending up next to me.
"Yeah Armin!" I say excitedly, "you did it! Now you got to beat me!"
He smiles lightly, shifting his blue orbs to mine, then quickly looking back to the front of the crowd.
--
Armin Arlert- built like a daffodile, but academically brilliant.
--The down pour subsides, though we don't stop for a break. We keep running to the location.

"Cadets!" Commander Shardis yells, immediately silencing the side conversations, "Get on your gear! When I blow the whistle, go-- there are Titan dummies in this forest that you have to 'kill'-- they they are stationed everywhere and will rotate every five minutes!"
All of e cadets form a neat line, in height order. I'm beside Eren, on the other side of Annie. Through the tree years, Eren has grow three inches taller, while I have only grown one. Though, Annie hasn't grown at all.
