Alicia's best friend, Katie, had been begging and pleading for her to at least try to learn to play some sort of instrument. When Katie's constant begging and pleading had gotten annoying, Alicia decided she would try to learn how to play the piano. Alicia learned how to read music and play remarkably fast. Everyone said it was because she had a natural talent for playing piano.
Alicia had found a certain happiness and joy that only playing piano could give her. Everytime she played, she was in another world. It was like nobody was around her or watching her play, it was like having her own little fantasy.
Every once in a while, someone would ask her what it's like to play or how she feels when she's playing. Most of the time, she can't even begin to explain what it feels like because it's a one-of-a-kind feeling. It's a feeling you can only get while playing an instrument. You can't get the same feeling while you're doing anything else.
One night, while sitting alone in the living room, Alicia decided she would compose her own musical piece to play. As she was writing down the notes on the staff paper, her phone began to ring. She saw that the caller ID said her best friend's name.
"Hello?"
Alicia said into the phone as she answered."Alicia?" A voice asked.
"Mrs. Beth?" Alicia asked the voice on the other end.
"Alicia, I have something to tell you...." She began to say as she began to sniffle over the phone.
