As Alicia began to play, she felt a mix of different emotions rushing throughout her body. She felt happiness, relief, joy, sadness, and so many others.
Alicia played Katie her birthday present the best she's ever played before. She played as if her best friend wasn't dead, she played as if she had all the joy in the world.
You could see the joy she had when she played because it was written all over her face.
Her smile and the way her fingers danced across the keys showed that her life had so much unimaginable joy, but it would only show when she played.
It was as if nothing else could bring her that kind of joy.
As Alicia finished playing and everyone started clapping, she realized that no matter what happened, she could find happiness in music.
She now realized what her best friend was talking about when she explained that music expresses not only what is seen, but what is felt by the heart.
She finally understood her best friend.
She had finally found the perfect note.
