His Girlfriend

Kabeer's POV:

I opened my eyes slowly to see she's still sleeping like a kid clutching onto me. I placed her down properly on the bed and went to the bathroom.

I stood splashing water onver my face, and looked into the small mirror on the wall above the basin.

Seriously, I have no idea what happened yesterday. But it's confirmed that she has broke up with that guy. I'm happy one way. But, I yet don't know the reason she broke up with him. I'll ask her and she has to, she owes me an explanation for my acting as her boyfriend. Ho man!!! That was fun...

Once she came home, I never thought she'll end up sleeping and crying on my lap. Heck! I've been in countless relationships but never had a girl sleep on my lap. That shit was really and I'm not able to accept it myself. I thought in wonder and confusion.

I freshened and came out to see she is still fast asleep. I went up close to her and kissed her forehead. I don't know why I felt to do so.

I've never kissed a girl's forehead except for my mom and sister. This girl is doing something to me and I'm not able to control myself.

As I came out I saw her brother in the kitchen. He looked at me and smiled widely.

"Hey, good morning!" He said cutting an apple.

"M...o...rning" I said awkwardly scratching the back of my neck.

"Sure, you've not slept well last night" He said and chuckled coming across the counter.

"Ahm...yeah. that was...
I fumbled not knowing what to say.

He smiled and laughed a little.
I gave him a blank expression.

"It's okay. I'm not wanting to know things behind closed doors" He said putting his hands up in the air.

"Hey, nono... your getting it wrong. Nothing happened...
I said stuttering.

"I know, I know... it's fine"
He said smiling and sat on the sofa.

I took a deep and nervous breath. He gestured me to sit beside him. I took another long breath and sat by his side.

He offered me a pice of fruit on the plate but I denied it. He took one pice and ate.

"I got to know what happened yesterday from my bhabhi. I guess Rahul's parents are furious. They made a big scene at our place"
He said and became serious.

"Well, I don't know what happened yesterday"
I said chuckling awkwardly.

"Yeah, I even know that you don't know" He said chuckling the same way.

"So can I get to know now?"
I asked seriously.

"Well, I'm not the one to tell you" He said and laughed.

"Yeah right!" I said understanding his meaning.

"Where were you last night when we came home?"
I asked just being curious.

"I stayed over at my friend's place. We had an assignment to complete. I came very late"
He said having his fruit.

I nooded to his answer.

"By the way, thank you for helping my sister"
He said looking at me with emotion.

I know that look on his face because I too have a sister whom I love and care about till death. I gave him a wide smile and patted his shoulder.

"Weren't you afraid your sister spent a whole night with a guy in her house alone?" I asked to be honest.

He laughed loudly and looked at me saying..."I know my sister well. She is a kid where it comes to things like that. She's a girl who thought that kissing a guy could make a girl pregnant"
