A worried day

Kabeer's POV:

I never thought we would have such a play. I mean she did take it very well. The poor thing couldn't sit or walk properly for two days. But damn I never thought she would ask for it again that night. Though in pain the woman wanted it again. I tried my best to be me but my demon came out again. So she wasn't able to walk for two days. She stayed at home.

I was arranging some files on the shelf in my cabin when someone knocked on the door.

"Come in!" I said normally.

"Sir, Ankur sent you some papers to be signed!" Said Jessica.

I recognize her voice...
"Keep it on my table and leave"
I said in a casual voice.

"Okay sir" She said and kept the documents and left.

I came near my table dusting my hands on my shirt I picked up the files and read the documents before singing it.

Actually now suddenly we are facing some difficulties in business. I recently opened a workshop and a boutique. So things are a little fussy here. Not even having Sanjana past two days is giving trouble. Her work is also pending. These are the advantages of being the CEO's wife. She is now taking certain things for granted. 

Suddenly my phone rang and I took it out of my pocket looking it's an unknown number.

"Hello who's this?" I asked normally still reading the file.

"Your wife!" Said Sanjana.

"Saanj?"
I questioned looking into the phone again in shock.

"Baby, what's wrong? Who's number is this?" I asked her worriedly.

"I came out for some shopping but then suddenly my car stopped in the middle of the road. I'm calling from one person's phone on the road as my phone's battery died"
She said huffing sadly.

"Where are you exactly tell me I'm coming" I said hitting my forehead in frustration.

"Right next to the city plaza mall near the metro station"
She said happily.

"Okay just be there don't move and no talking to strangers"
I said to irritate her.

"Shut up Singhaniya and come here soon" She said annoyingly and hung up.

I glanced at both the files quickly and signed them. I took my coat and I walked out of my cabin.

"Jessi, give back the files to Ankur and tell him I'm out for an hour"
I told her as I came out.

"Ho okay sir! But you have a meeting scheduled at 4pm"
She stood and said in worry.

I looked at my watch it showed 1:45pm.

"I'll be back by then!" I told her and she nodded.

I came down towards my car and then drove away. Seriously this girl has changed my life so much for the better obviously. But sometimes she behaves very immaturely. I thought.
I soon reached near and I spotted her from afar. I parked my car in front of hers.
She was sitting inside and looked at me with a big smile.

"Hop in soon I need to go back to work"
I said from my car window.

"Yeah coming!"
She said and got out taking five to six bags in hand.

"Open the bonnet!" She said loudly.

I got out and came back to help her out.

"What the hell? How much have you shopped?"
I asked her shockingly and opende the bonnet.

"No use of telling you" She said lamely and went sat in front.

I shut the bonnet and got inside and started to drive.
She is quit and looks like she is thinking something.

"Baby, you're okay? You look upset" I asked in concern.

She turned and looked at me suddenly tears started flowing down her eyes.

I immediately stopped the car aside and held her hands in mine.

"Baby, what's wrong? Why are you crying?"
I asked her in tension.

But she kept crying and not saying anything.

"Saanj say something!"
I said shaking her hand slightly.

She just kept crying. I gave her a helpless look and waited for her to stop.

"Will you leave if anything happens?" She asked softly through her sniffs still crying.

"What?"
I said with a weird face not able to understand anything.

"I love you Kabeer, I can't stay without you. You're the best thing that ever happened to me I can't imagine a moment without you in my life henceforth"
She said looking straight into my eyes seriously.

I gulpped hard not knowing what to exactly say. Why did she say all of this now. My mind thought strangely.

"What's wrong did something happen?"
I asked in a serious voice.

Her face changed but she covered it up soon. I can see she is nervous and scared. She is hiding something from me. I don't know what happened nor I'm able to analyze it.

"Saanj, are you okay?"
I said sternly this time looking into her eyes.

"Nothing happened I just became emotional"
She said wiping her face.

"Let's go you said you got work"
She said and turned towards the window.

"Saanj, tell me. I'm now sure there is something wrong. Why did you suddenly ask such questions and say such things"
I asked being serious.

"Nothing Kabeer, I said right,
I just got emotional. I was thinking random rubbish"
She said but not looking at me.

I didn't say or ask anything more if she doesn't want to say now then it's her choice. But I'll find out soon. She suddenly is acting weird. The whole way later we were silent. I dropped her home and went back to the office. She did not call nor message me the later day. I kept glancimg and waiting for her call or text.

At night I came home to see it empty, the lights were all off again the atmosphere did not seem good to me at all. God please let everything be fine. I mentally thought and walked in calling her out but no reply. My mind and heart started battling again and not sure of anything happing around here.

I entered the bedroom to see she's sleeping fastly. I left a breath of relief. I went close to her and kneeling I kissed her forehead. She looks super stressed out. What happened? I'm so puzzled.

"I love you baby!"
I whispered in her ear.

Nevertheless, she'll tell me later I thought and went to change.
I came out and saw she's still sleeping. I went and lay next to her hugging her tight sleep took over me too soon.
