Sanjana's POV:
Today is my wedding. I can't imagine three weeks just passed in a click of a finger. I'm sitting beside Naman who is performing all the rituals that the Priest is telling him to do, he is flowing accordingly. Our families were so quick and fast to do everything. My parents specially, did all the rituals and arrangements so fast.
That evening when he came to see me, we spoke well with each other and I liked him for some reason I wasn't scared. He too liked me and immediately our parents made us exchange rings. I was not ready for that, but anyways what has happened according to my wish? I just put up smile and we got engaged.
When I walked down from the hotel room to the Mandap (altar) with my dad, he was already in tears but, honestly I am not crying. It is not affecting me that much. Yes! I am sad to leave my parents and family. But, what is more making me nervous and scared is that how life is going to change after this?
I know it's my decision, still I'm a little scared thinking what would happen next? We decided in getting married at one of Delhi's famous hotels,
"The Blue Heaven"...When I reached down to the main hall Naman was sitting in the Mandap. I couldn't see his face because of the flower veil that covered it. Then I sat down beside him and we both performed all the rituals.
We exchange flowers garlands, my parents came forward and gave my hands in his. At that moment I felt a slight pain in my heart for leaving my parents forever, the Priest told him to tie the nuptial chain around my neck and then fill the middle my forehead with vermilion. We took seven rounds of the Holy fire.
And then finally we are married...
I have become Mrs. Sanjana Naman Malothra. Wow! Doesn't sound bad.
We got up and took blessings from all our elders. Then our siblings, friends all hugged and congratulated us.
We stood up on the stage and slowly everyone started coming and greeting us also to click pictures.
"Sir, could you please remove the vail for the pictures" Asked the photographer.
"Yes son, you can remove it" Said his mother.
"Naman should I help you?" Asked my elder brother with concern.
He stood quietly not speaking anything.
"Bhai, I'll go with him. Come bro" Said Sahil eagerly.
He came forward and dragged Naman behind the stage into the dressing room. I wonder what's wrong with him. He was so against this marriage and the man right. Anyways good he is trying to be nice to Naman. We need to live the rest of our lives together. I thought leaving a heavy breath
Our whole family is on stage and waiting for Naman and Sahil to come back.
"What's wrong why is it taking them so long?" Asked my dad.
"Yeah, it's been more than 20min they went" Said my bhabhi.
"Sorav, go and check on them" Said my mom.
My brother nooded and walked down the steps when suddenly, we heard a voice.
"Mom, Dad"...
We all looked towards the entrance of the hall, stood a devastated Naman. He was waring his marriage clothes but his face looked dull and he was gasping for breath. We all got more than shocked to see him like that.
He came in walking fast, all our relatives, family, friends and invited guests were giving us wired expressions. I'm so confused. Didn't he just go in this way to take off the flower veil? I thought to myself.
