"Kill me in my white tee,
Baby let my blood flow."
-----
Dabi knew better, than to go out at night right after he had burned that building right down.
He did, so then why had he still found himself wandering alleyways, looking at the streetlights?
He didn't really know why either.
The highlight had been running into an intoxicated man, who clearly hadn't recognized him.
He enjoyed every second he watched him squeal in pain as the flames burned him inside out.
What he didn't really enjoy, was when he was leaving and a red feather zipped past him, ripping a staple and quite literally causing some of his face to come undone.
He quickly placed his hand over it to make sure it didn't come off more than it already had.
"Wow, the villian, Dabi himself. What a honor."
Dabi scowled, trying to hide how his hands shook and his body froze up.
"Hawks."
Hawks stepped closer, a big feather being used as a sword held in his hand. He chuckled awkwardly.
"So cold. Isn't your quirk fire?"
"That's none of your concern."
Hawks looked over to his side, giving an amused 'Ouch'.
"Are you an amateur, or what? You causing trouble on purpose?"
Dabi scoffed. "I dont know what you're hoping I'll tell you"
Hawks squinted at him, staring at the blood that was pooling into his hand.
"Maybe you start by telling me why you're bleeding so much?"
Dabi clenching his fist, getting tired of talking- but mostly he didn't want to be anywhere near any remnants of his past-
Especially concerning Keigo.
He let out a deep exhale, dropping his hand from his face and swiftly running behind Hawks- blasting flames at the back of his head.
Hawks jumped back, grunting as he fell flat on his back from the suddenness of the attack.
Hawks coughed, wrapping his left arm along his ribs as he felt the air get knocked out of him.
Dabi kicked his side, sending him rolling into a wall.
Hawks flapped his wings, sticking a shaky landing just before the impact. He breathed unevenly, his wheezes constricting against his lungs and ribcage dangerously.
"Dammit, a fucking warning next time?!"
Dabi didn't respond, only gritted his teeth.
Hawks moved out of the way as more flames were thrown at him, narrowly dodging and burning a part of his arm. Hawks' mind raced as he desperately tried to recollect himself.
For some reason he didnt quite know, he remembered Touya at that moment- though the villian infront of him had a similiar face, he found himself unable to find a reason why. Lost in thought, before he knew it he had been hit with a wave of fire and hit the wall with enough force to leave a small crack.
He sent all his feathers flying towards Dabi, trying to extinguish some of the flames that had hit his wings.
His vision felt hazy as he laid on the ground, some blood coating his hair and face. He held himself up feebly with the wall, but found himself slowly closing his eyes as his ragged breathing slowed down.
Dabi crouched down, staring at him. He didnt exactly have a reason to, but he just sat by the unconscious Hawks with knitted eyebrows.
Dabi hated the feeling that lingered inside him- the faint feeling of shame that festered like a revolting nest of maggots, squirming and biting at him.
It left a unpleasant taste as he stared at the blood.
He carefully ripped some of his shirt, and wrapped it around Hawks' head wound.
Then he quickly stood up and left.
After all- he hated feeling that way.
And, he always did beat Keigo when they raced.
