This is yet one other Zen reminder I wrote for my own practice.

I will work to achieve spiritual strength of the mind and body. Pursuit without rest leads to brokenness, not to strength. So I will slow my thoughts and breathe awhile, and take notice of my lucky day. I need not accomplish anything when I meditate, or nod with gusto as I learn. Yet I will go on, and I will meditate and I will learn. Although it is hard, I will use my energy wisely; otherwise it will turn to smoke or be dashed upon the rocks. Striking balance between the lazy and rigorous ways, my way will be serene, and I will be happy and then Happy and all three. Today I walk in peace as a buddha.
