2022 Bahrain Grand Prix: Media day pt.2

After our presentation I met with Alexis again so that we could go to the hotel and train, much to my dismay. 

"How was your meeting?" Alexis asked when we were in the beautiful gray Alfa Romeo Giulia that was mine for the weekend. 

"The strategists are so much more charismatic than in carlin. They are so nice and they crack jokes all the time. It makes it enjoyable" I said, fastening my seatbelt. 

"And Valtteri?" she asked as we drove out of the paddock with a shit tonne of fans all around. 

"He's quiet, I mean he only smiled at me and that's pretty much our whole interaction. I know they have a plan for us to spend time together as 'team bonding' or something like that but I'm pretty intimidated by him" I said. Valtteri does look like an amazing person, and being teammate of Lewis Hamilton for 5 years must be so amazing. 

"That 's cool. Not gonna lie I love the team clothes, they are so comfortable and the colors are amazing" Alexis said and it made me laugh. 

"I know, I love the materials they use" I said and touched the crop top I had on 

"So today we are training neck and cardio, because of the hot air in bahrain the whole weekend is gonna be challenging and I already know you are gonna be sore after the first practice" she said, the last part with a tone 

"Excuse me?" I looked at her and she laughed

"Deny it" she said but I stayed silent "See. I know you girl" she said. 

We chatted all the way to the hotel and when we arrived many more fans were outside given all of us drivers stayed in the same hotel. We got out and I signed a few hats before going to my room. Alexis went inside of the room with me and sat down on my bed 

"I'll leave you to change. See you in the gym in 15?" She asked "Sure" I said and she left. I sat down on my bed for a few minutes just scrolling through instagram until I received a call from my dad. I picked up and put it on speaker 

"What's up?" I said 

"Nothing we just wanted to check on you" My dad said clearly with my mom next to him "How was the press conference?" My mom asked me. 

"I think you saw it, no?" I asked them and stood up on the balcony in my room 

"We couldn't figure out how to use the TV" my dad said in a low tone 

"Ha ok when I go back home i'll help you. It was meh the first question was a bit rough but I managed through it. Poor Max tho, they were asking him a lot of difficult questions about Abu Dhabi last year" I said laughing a bit at the last part. 

"That sounds cool, hope they won't be too difficult on you the rest of the season" my mom said "I know i'm hoping for it" I said and sighed 

"What did you do today? Apart from the press conference" my dad asked 

"I had a meeting with the strategists. They are so funny and so different from carlin, they were cracking jokes left and right. I enjoyed it so much. And the team principal is also so nice. They all made it so easy for me to adapt" I said, smiling a bit "That's incredible honey so good your team is nice with you" My mom said and it made me smile. 

I looked at the clock on my phone and I only had 5 minutes to be at the gym 

"Scheiße, I need to go guys I'm going to train with Alexis for a while" I said "Ok we won't hold you up. We love you bye" My dad said and hung up. 

I ran to my suitcase and got out some Nike pros and one of my dad's ferrari shirts that I stole without him knowing, my headphones and headed to the gym. I reached the gym and Alexis was already there.
