"Lex I'm freaking out I don't know anything about the woman except her name. Should I bring wine? Some food? Charles didn't tell me shit!" I said as I paced around the room in my underwear. 

"Lena why don't you just figure out what you want to wear first and then any other shit okay?" Alexis said and I sighed sitting down on the bed. 

"I want to make a good first impression and I don't know anything about her and I'm gonna cry" I said while rummaging through my suitcase for something to wear. 

"Why don't you call your boyfriend and ask him what you should wear? He knows his mother and how the dinner is going to go" Alexis said and I sighed after throwing everything out of my bag. 

"Yeah okay you're right" I said, taking my phone out and dialing charles' number and putting it on speaker. 

"Hey princess, what's up?" He answered after only 2 rings. 

"Hey chuck. What should I wear tonight? Like is it formal or casual? Should I speak to your mom in french? I know it and I'm a bit rusty but I can speak it. Should I bring wine? Food?" I asked all at once. Lexi hit me in the arm telling me to calm down as Charles laughed on the other line. 

"Okay I'll answer one by one. It's more casual just dinner with my family, nothing too over the top. You can speak anything you like but I do think my mom would like French because she doesn't speak that good English but whatever you want baby. No you don't have to bring anything. I have the wine and my mom is making dinner" He answered and I groaned looking at my clothes. 

"Okay, okay" I said in a breath. 

"You're going to be fine baby, they're gonna love you" He said and I could hear the smile on his face. 

"If I don't fuck everything up" I said and Alexis shook her head while Charles laughed. 

"You're not going to fuck everything up. You'll be fine and Alexis" He said as I turned to look at my best friend with a shocked expression. 

"Keep her from going crazy until I get there" Charles said and Alexis laughed. 

"I'll try my best" Alexis said and I rolled my eyes.

 "I'll be there in 30 minutes but before you freak out Lena we won't leave until 7" He said and I chuckled. 

"Okay okay see you in a while" I said smiling. 

"See ya baby" He said and hung up. 

"How did he know you were here?" I asked Alexis but she just shrugged. 

"No idea girl" She said as we stared at my clothes together. 

"I'm thinking tan pants with a white top" Alexis said and I nodded. 

"Yeah but I have like 5 tops that could do" I said taking the shirts out. I tried on the outfits doing a kind of model walk for Alexis until we finally settled for one.

 It was light brown jeans with a short sleeve white t-shirt and golden jewelry to spice things up a bit. Now I was in the bathroom doing my hair and make up. A knock on the door made me stop in my tracks while Alexis went to open it. 

"Hey Lex" Charles' voice said from the door as I was blending my concealer. 

"Lena is in the bathroom doing her makeup" Lexi said and closed the door. 

"Don't come in, I'm not ready!" I yelled but then I heard the door open. 

"Hey baby" He said, putting his hands on my hips and kissing the back of my neck. 

"Chuck come on I need to look good for your family" I said while curling my eyelashes. He chuckled and put his hands on my shoulders massaging slightly.
