2022 Bahrain Grand Prix: Qualifying

After we warmed up I changed into my race suit ready for qualifying. 

We went down to the garage and everyone was running around trying to finish the cars last details for qualifying. As I entered the garage I immediately spotted the Netflix crew by the exit and I barely held the urge to roll my eyes. I went to Ilmari to finish some things and talk about turns to watch out for, etc. 

"I know you have been struggling with propoising and I think we finally fixed that issue, it was not easy but check it out" She said and I smiled at her completely satisfied because that was a big issue we couldn't completely fix since testing. 

"Thank you you are a legend" I said as qualifying started and it was my turn to get in the car. I went to the table to get my helmet and everything else I needed. I put my headphones on and my balaclava while Alexis chatted with some people and I just got in the mood.

 "OK so for practice we just need to check tire management not fast laps as much" Ilmari said as she walked next to me and I nodded "Ok" I said and put my helmet on, I put my HANS device in, and got in the car.

They gave me the green light to go out and I pulled out of the garage straight to the track with way more traffic than I expected. 

"Radio Check?" they asked and 

"Yep, loud and clear" I said feeling something weird in my stomach. 

After practice, I pulled into the garage with a good P9 but my back was killing me. 

"Ilmari you made the bouncing worse, fix it please" I said and everything went silent in the garage "Copy, we will try to get it fixed before qualifying" She said and I disconnected the headphones, harshly, and went slowly out of the car. 

I almost cried when I had to get up from my back but pushed it down in my brain quickly before the Netflix cameras or any cameras saw me. I put my helmet down on the table and limped to my room as fast as I could so that I could cry or throw myself down on the floor, I haven't decided yet. 

Alexis came to my side running and put an arm around me supporting me while I leaned into her. "Jesus that was horrible for you" She said and I nodded. 

We reached my room and I threw myself on the floor with my head to the ceiling and started crying silently. 

"Oh jesus" Alexis said and knelt down next to me. "Can you turn back honey, I need to massage your back so that you can feel better" She said and i rolled on my stomach feeling inmense pain. 

She started massaging my back and I felt immense relief instantly and the tears stopped. After like 15 minutes she stopped and the pain was almost basically over. "You are a god" I said after standing up from the floor. 

"I'm not, I'm just really good at my job" She said and sat down on the couch next to me. We stayed in silence for like 2 hours until she looked at me with a smile on his face. 

"What?" I asked and she kept smiling "Ready to fuck 'em all on qualifying" she said and I smirked. 

"ready to fuck 'em all in qualifying" I said and smiled. She stood up and handed me her hand and we went downstairs. We reached the garage and I was in much better attitude than the one I left with so I smiled at everyone and went to Ilmari. 

"Hey" She said and I smiled brightly at her. "We are pretty sure we fixed the bouncing in the car but we won't be sure" She said and I nodded. "Our goal right now is to get into Q2 and, if possible, Q3. We need to get into Q2 as comfortably as possible so really push the car to the limit ok?" She said and I smiled.

 "Yes, let's fuck 'em all" I said and she patted my shoulder. "Let's fuck 'em all" She said and pushed me to my car. I got my headphones in and my balaclava and stretched my shoulders one last time before getting in the car. Alexis handed me my helmet and I put it on and connected my headphones in before I heard a voice down the radio.
