Chapter 23

Jisung didn't react, but he rubbed the boy's back. His heart was sad to looked at the younger condition.

"What is your name?"asked Jisung, softly. Although he doesn't remember the him, but he can feel that he has a soft spot for this boy.

"Yang Jeongin. But you call me Jeongin or Innie. My stage name is I.N,"declared Jeongin with a smile when their embrace broke. He doesn't deny his heart feels warmth when he sees Jeongin's smiled.

Jisung stared at Jeongin's face without blinking. He seemed to recall something. He forced himself to remember, but failed. Finally, Jisung's head hurt. He begged the others to leave except for Chan and NCT members.

Chan sat next to his favorite member. Jeno, Jaemin and Haechan approached the all-rounder. Jisung leaned on Chan before speaking.

"Did all of you be close to me? I didn't remember having a close friend from NCT members."

Logically, only those familiar to Jisung will come to visit him. Even though he didn't remember Stray Kids completely, he knew they had a reason to visit at the hospital, especially Chan.

"You're my bias!"claimed Jaemin making Jeno facepalm. Haechan hides a smile when he sees Jaemin's excited face who doesn't answer the all-rounder's question.

Bias. 

Jisung remembered the conversation between him and his aunt.

"Thanks I guess but.."

"They're Renjun's friends.."

This time, Jisung's eyes gleamed when he heard his best friend's name being brought up by Chan.

"Really? But where's he? I missed him."

The Stray Kids leader glanced at Jeno who looked confused by the question. Haechan tried to answer, but Jaemin shook his head.

"He died,"replied Jeno with a calm tone.

Jisung giggles.

"You're lying."

"No! I'm not lying!"

"Yes, you are! You never sincerely with your feelings, Kim Seungmin!”yelled Hyunjin.

"I admit it, but not this time, Hyunjin! I want to apologize to Jisung. I don't care about our best friend things or whatever!"

"Good because you're not my best friend anymore!"snapped Hyunjin and left Seungmin. He entered Jeongin and Jisung's room.

"Hyung?"Jeongin reprimanded the taller, who climbed onto Jisung's bed. He approached the elder when he heard the sound of sobbing. He sat next to Hyunjin who was lying down while hugging Jisung's blanket.

"I hate Seungmin, Innie. I hate him! Because of him I lost Jisung. I lost someone I loved. He remembered Seungmin but me?"Hyunjin complained with a cracked voice.

The maknae just keep quiet. He wants the older to express all his feelings.

"Why didn't he remember us? Why did he only remember Chan-hyung and Seungmin?"

"I don't know, hyung. I don't know,"replied Jeongin who's crying. They both hugged while crying. Each of them cannot accept the fact that Jisung does not recall about them.

Returning from visiting Jisung, Jeongin went straight into the room. He wants to avoid making any interaction with the other members. He wants to clean his room before welcoming Jisung back to the dorm, two days away. Actually, Jeongin is happy because Jisung will hug him. But likewise, he is jealous when the all-rounder remembers Seungmin. After Chan, Jeongin has known Jisung the longest.

"Innie!"Chan's appearance broke their embrace. Hyunjin wiped his tears without looking at the leader's face.

"Hyunjinie?"Chan, who wanted to meet Jeongin, started paying attention to the Stray Kids visual. He came in the room and sat in front of Jeongin and Hyunjin.

"Hey,"Chan reached for the taller's hand. Hyunjin cried again. He didn't understand why he was so sensitive today. Maybe because he misses Jisung too much?

"I miss Jisung, hyung.."

"All of us missed him. He will be back. He will remember Stray Kids. This is his home. Trust me."

"Trust you? How can I trust you if I didn't know who you are?"Jisung glared at Eric who came with Eunwoo and Soobin. Han So Hee just gave a sympathetic smile to Eric who looked hopeless. Dr. Bae who was there, also could not help.

"Can I show to him our pictures?"Eunwoo asked Dr. Bae.

"You can try."

Soobin approaches Eunwoo who starts searching for their picture.

"That one,"said Soobin pointing out to the picture when they were at Eunwoo's apartment. The picture is of them celebrating Eric's birthday.

Eunwoo handed his phone to Jisung.  With hesitation, the all-rounder took that phone. When he stared at the picture of four of them, his jaw dropped. He glanced at the faces of Eric, Soobin and Eunwoo with confused expressions. 

Jisung's finger automatically touched the screen. Some of their pictures attracted the attention of the all-rounder. Jisung bit his bottom lip when he studied at their pictures, cuddled. 

Even though Jisung doesn't remember who they are, he can still think reasonably. Through pictures that mostly involves skinship, he understands why Eric is trying to explain their best friend relationship.

"Besides Stray Kids, they are your truly friends, Sungie,"told Han So Hee.

Han Hyo Joo arrived with Mrs. Han causing them glance at the two women. Mr. Han picked up Jisung's older brother at the airport. Behind Mrs. Han are Chan, Minho and Changbin.

"Channie-hyung, come here!"

Chan smiled at the younger, who looked excited.

"Look, hyung! Eunwoo-sunbaenim is my best friend!"claimed Jisung. Eunwoo chuckled, seeing Jisung show their pictures to the Stray Kids leader.

"He is. Eric and Soobin are also your best friends,"said Chan.

This time, Jisung glanced at Eric and Soobin.

"I'm sorry.."

"Sorry? No! At least give us some warm hug,"demanded Eric. Soobin nodded in agreement. Jisung looked at Chan's face and the older just smiled at him.

"Come here, then."

Without waiting long, Eric and Soobin hit the little boy. They hugged Jisung and sobbed. Eric on Jisung's left shoulder and Soobin on Jisung's right shoulder.

"You're our best friend, Sungie.."mentioned Eric with sobbing.Jisung didn't answer but he rubbed Soobin and Eric's back. He smiled when Eunwoo ruffled his hair. From the bed, he saw two Stray Kids members looking at him with a sad expression.
