Cat walked over to Nate, jacket and purse in hand. "You ready?"

"Yeah." He stood and they walked out the door to her car, Nate a few paces behind Cat.

Cat looked around. She could feel her heart threatening to burst out of her chest. "Please don't be here... Please please please..." she mumbled under her breath.

She turned the corner and heard a sound.

"Hello, Beautiful."

"Dam... Damien..." She took a step back, and bit her lip.

"Lovely to see you here, my Darling." He started approaching her.

Nate came into view.

"What do we have here? You sure go get around quickly," Damien simpered.

"Get away from us!" Cat stood her ground, but her voice wavered. She was terrified. She glanced at Nate, then looked back at Damien.

"Now, is that anyway to treat the love of your life? Remember when you told me that? You'd love me forever?" He stepped closer to Cat.

"That was before you cheated on me," She said, pushing him away.

"Leave her alone." Nate stepped closer.

"Or what? You'll fight me? Please. You fell like a ton of bricks when I hit you the last time."

Nate tensed up. "I would suggest you do what's best for you, and leave. Or I will call the cops."

"Ooh, I'm terrified," Damien sarcastically quipped. "I suggest you leave pretty kitty Cat here alone with me, and we can have some real fun!" He started grabbing for Cat, but Cat pulled away.

"I'm not your puppet, Damien," she snapped. She managed to get a few feet away from him.

"Aww, come on my little kitty Cat, you know you can't resist me. I'm all you have. No one else will ever love you. You're far too damaged. Remember when you were in the hospital? No one else came to see you, because on no one cared."

"Don't you dare say that. Mira Lynne cares about me more than you ever did-"

Damien cut her off with a burst of laughter. "Just come with me, and we can be happy together. I promise I won't hit you unless you deserve it."

Hearing that, Nate got fired up."A true gentleman would never strike a lady. Any person who does is a coward."

"Oh, look who finally speaks up. You really think I'm scared of you?" Damien scoffed. "You are worthless. You don't even have a reason to be here."

"Hey. You're talking with me. Not him." She stood in front of Nate. She was more confident now that Damien was going after Nate.

"Ooh, the kitty Cat has claws." Knowing he wouldn't get anywhere with the two of them, he changed tactic. He looked to Nate. "Let's just hope your pretty little friend won't get sick again. Her body probably can't take much more."

"Don't you dare go after Gwen again!" Nate threatened Damien.

"Or what? You'll hurt me? I'm not scared. Do what you want." He looked to Cat. "No matter where you go, I will always find you, my Darling."

With a flourish, he walked to his car and drove off. Nate seeing Cat swaying, went to her to check on her.

"Are you okay?" He held her arms gently to steady her.

"Just a headache." She plastered on a smile. "Come on, let's get you home."

Cat got in her car and began driving Nate home. She called Mira Lynne.
