Chapter 17:Battle on the Bridge

Ochako was stirring awake. She slowly started to regain consciousness. She got back up and saw she was on top of a bridge and nearly lost balance, catching herself.

"Glad to see you're awake," said a voice startling her.

Ochako turned to see Hisashi, with Inko in his arms.

"What happened? Where am I?!" Ochako asked hysterically.

"You're a guest for a private wedding," Hisashi said menacingly

"Not if I can escape!" Ochako said.

She tapped herself to make herself weightless, but her quirk wasn't working.

"A temporary quirk cancelation," Hisashi said, "Can't have you trying to bring the police. Not that anyone can stop me now that All Might and Deku are dead."

Those words stung Ochako.

"No... you're wrong! They aren't dead!" Ochako shouted.

"I'm afraid its true," Hisashi said, "I did the world a favor by wiping them out of the picture. The world has no need for a few blemishes like those two."

"You MURDERER!!" Ochako said.

Inko tried to escape Hisashi's grasp.

"Inko please, I can show you that I'm the one you truly want," Hisashi told her.

"I know who I want Hisashi, and its not a psychopath like you!!" Inko shouted.

"You will marry me, or you'll watch innocent people die!" Hisashi said.

He pointed to a carrier with children inside of it. He destroyed a wire to take a few children hostage.

Izuku was flying around searching for his mother, Ochako and Hisashi. He vowed that he would never let anyone hurt them. His danger sense quirk alerted him to the top of a bridge. Using Air Force, he propelled himself to the location of Hisashi. Ochako saw him and was overjoyed.

"Deku!!" she said.

"No you don't!" Hisashi said as he grabbed her by the neck.

"Let them go!" Izuku said.

"Not happening! I'm taking back what's mine. Take another step forward and the chestnut gets it!" Hisashi said.

"Hurt her and I'll KILL YOU!!!" Izuku shouted.

"Your days of being a hero are over Izuku," Hisashi said, "Time and time again I tried to convince you to give up this dream, yet you kept forcing me to take extreme measures. Now its time you learned why only fools choose to be heroes. Because you never know when a supervillain will come along and force you to make a sadistic choice."

He looked at Ochako and raised her higher.

"Let die the woman you love," he said before turning to the children in the carrier, "Or suffer the little children."

"Deku!" said one of the kids, "Help us!"

"Make your choice Izuku, and see how a hero is rewarded."

"Don't do it Hisashi!" Izuku said.

Izuku was now sweating. It was either the children or Ochako. He didn't know what to do. He couldn't let the children die and he couldn't live with himself if Ochako died.

"We are who we choose to be," Hisashi said.

"Hisashi stop this right now, this isn't you!" Izuku said, "Put them down!"
