🟢 First Kiss [Noren]

A/N: Part 2 of Email- Noren is the ship but Donghyuck's the main character [since it's part 2 of an old oneshot- I won't be making the conversations bold]

I know it's been a while since 'Email' has been posted but I may or may not have forgotten about this part 😅 Welp- there's no better time than the present! [I apologize for being inactive... I've been busy but I'm trying to update! hehe]

Donghyuck was living his best life as a third wheeler. Not only was he stressed with school requirements and life as a grade 10 student, he was also getting stressed as a third wheeler for Renjun, his best friend, and Jeno, his best friend's boyfriend.

Ok, he wasn't necessarily stressed about those two but he did like to complain. He never minded third wheeling but he did like to joke around about third wheeling. Photos, eavesdropping on conversations, just a normal day in a life of a third wheeler.

People have asked him how it felt like as a third wheeler, was he alright third wheeling? The answer is yes. He was ok with third wheeling if he was being honest. Sure, he wasn't Renjun's first priority anymore but then again, that was his insecurities talking for him.

He spends more time with Jaemin and Shotaro now that Renjun was preoccupied with Jeno but he does hang out with Renjun at times, Jeno always right behind them, not that Donghyuck cared much. He was quiet and lets the best friends do their thing.

For that, Donghyuck was quite thankful. It did slightly hurt that Renjun spent more time with his boyfriend but, when he does spend time with Donghyuck, he did receive some good tea. Tea that would make a normal person feel single.

"We went out today: Jeno, Yuta,  Mark and I. It was so fun!" Donghyuck listened as Renjun talked about the 3rd double date those 4 went on. It was redundant but Renjun likes talking about it and Donghyuck likes listening to it.

Renjun continued telling his best friend what happened during the date when all of a sudden, "Oh, and guess what?" That caught Donghyuck's attention. "What? You know I can't guess when it comes to things like this."

That made Renjun laugh. "Guess who got their first kiss today?" Donghyuck blinked, then he blinked again, then he blinked once more. That's when it finally dawned on him what he just heard. "YOU GOT YOUR FIRST KISS?"

The boy nodded. "HELL NO!" Donghyuck dropped his phone on the bed and ran over to the other side of his room. "AAAAAHHHHH!" Renjun was laughing at his screams but Donghyuck couldn't hear it, obviously. He just kept screaming.

"NO WAY YOU GUYS- THE HELL?!" Donghyuck was not over the disbelief. "RENJUN!" But the boy didn't stop laughing. "He's a really good kisser." Donghyuck started to scream again. This was way too cute for his heart.

Was Donghyuck jealous? Of course not! He didn't want a relationship, at all! Sure, he kind of wanted the type of affection that came with being a couple but that was just an affectionate guy. But that didn't matter, he sure as hell was just very happy for his best friend. 

He ran around his room a couple of times, all the while he could hear Renjun's laughter echo from his phone. 'Calm yourself, Donghyuck. Calm...' He took a deep breath in and picked up his phone again. "I love you so much, Huang Renjun."

Renjun laughed at his best friend's antics. "I love you too, Lee Donghyuck," Renjun replies, joking back. But Donghyuck was dead serious. The 'I love yous' were purely platonic however, they were very much true. 

"I am so incredibly happy for you, no words can describe it." Donghyuck felt like crying. Tears of joy and love, mind you, but tears nonetheless. He knew that Renjun was tearing up too behind the screen. The tiny voice crack proved it.

"T-Thank you." They sat on the call in silence. It wasn't awkward silence however both felt the need to break it. Donghyuck kept opening and closing his mouth. He tried to find the right words to say to break the silence. Sadly, he got nothing.

That was until, "You better not be doing PDA at school in front of me, ok?" Donghyuck said, as if scolding his best friend. That broke the tension and made Renjun laugh in the process. "Of course not! I would never put you through that."

Donghyuck raised an eyebrow. Renjun couldn't see him do it but he just had too. "Suuuure, you won't." Renjun made a sound that showed that he was offended that Donghyuck thought so lowly of him. "How dare you think I would do such a thing!"

Donghyuck fought back a smile, failing miserably. "I love you but, I know you." Which translates to: you have literally been doing PDA, holding hands and being overly affectionate with each other, in front of me ever since you guys started dating. 

Donghyuck knows that Renjun must be pouting now, which made him give up and laugh. "I hate you, you know?" Renjun says. "Oh, please. As if you could hate me." Renjun smiles. "You're right. I could never hate my best friend."
