🔵 Chocolate [Juric]

A/N: I haven't shipped/read/wrote Juric in a long time but I suddenly got the urge to make a oneshot about them

Juyeon loved early mornings. He believed that if he began his day as soon as possible, he would be able to complete everything he needed to do in any pace he was comfortable with. For the most part, that statement was true.

People had told him that he was too slow for the world when Juyeon believed that it was the opposite, the world was just too fast for him- it was in the sense that the world around him rushed when in reality, they didn't need to.

He always began his day with a cold shower, like a masochist, a balanced breakfast, and the impossible task of waking up his boyfriend. Eric, unlike Juyeon, hated early mornings. Scratch that, he hated mornings in general.

Eric doesn't wake up easily in the morning. No matter what you do to try to wake him up, he just stays asleep until his body decides to wake up on its own time. The time he usually wakes up would be past lunch or even at the evening.

No wonder his body clock was fucked up. Juyeon didn't care about Eric's sleep schedule. It didn't play a big part in their relationship. What Juyeon cared about was his boyfriend's unhealthy obsession with caffeine, the reason why he can't sleep.

If you were to ask Juyeon, he would say that coffee is overrated. He didn't get why people like the bitter taste of coffee first thing in the morning. Like any typical coffee-hater, he liked drinking tea more than coffee much to Eric's displeasure.

Was there ever a relationship where both people like coffee and tea or even hate the both of them? It seems like a common thing for one person to like tea while the other liked coffee, each person bashing the other's preferences.

As Juyeon prepared himself a cup of tea to start his morning, Eric finally rolled himself out of bed and stumbled into the kitchen in a sleepy daze. "Finally awake, hm?" Juyeon off-handedly comments. Eric pouts and sits himself on the dining table.

"I really don't understand how you can drink tea this early in the morning?" Eric says, yawning right after. "We can get Starbucks once we finish all of our errands, how's that?" Juyeon says to deflect any tea vs coffee argument they could have going.

Eric's face lit up at that. "You always order the same thing every time we get Starbucks though. Can't you be anymore basic?" Juyeon scoffs, taking a sip of his tea. "I don't drink as much Starbucks as you do. I only know chocolate."

Juyeon's usual drink choice from Starbucks is a chocolate frappe, no coffee for obvious reasons. He never switches up his order ever since he and Eric started dating. Eric was sure that Juyeon has been drinking that same drink for years.

But unlike Eric, Juyeon doesn't really go to Starbucks, as he mentioned. He doesn't have any opportunity to change up his order. "Let's go!" Eric waits for the older by the doorway, holding his bag and car keys. Juyeon puts on his shoes and catches up.

As Eric lines up to order for the both of them, Juyeon was left staring at the menu stuck on the top of the wall. He looked over at all of the drinks, even if he didn't know what half of them were, and his eyes landed on one drink in particular.

As mentioned, he usually gets a chocolate frappe but this time, he was willing to switch it up a bit. "Can you change my order?" Juyeon says to Eric before it was his turn to order. "To what?" Eric tried not to sound excited but he was.

"Uhm... Maybe Matcha Latte? Does that taste good? I haven't tried matcha before but people have been telling me that I might like it." Eric just waves of his explanation and enthusiastically orders himself a coffee, as well as Juyeon's new drink order.

Both drinks took a few minutes to be completed and before Juyeon could take a sip of his drink, Eric pulls out his phone and tells him to pose. "It's the first time you've switched up your drink order! Let me capture this moment, ok?"

Juyeon complied with no arguments. He held his drink close to his face and smiled widely. Eric took a lot of photos and posted them everywhere he could- Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, multiple group chats, and even privately on Tiktok.

"Taste it! Taste it! Taste it! Taste it!" Eric chants. Juyeon blew the drink a little to cool it down before he could drink it. The moment he took a sip of his matcha latte, he spat it out. Thankfully, there were no people around and they were far from Starbucks.

Eric laughed so hard, his stomach started to hurt. Juyeon glared at his boyfriend, not before glaring at his drink first. "I should just stick to chocolate and tea, shouldn't I? This was a bad idea." Eric didn't reply, only laughed.

A/N: As someone who is a matcha lover, ouch- but I understand how matcha isn't everyone's cup of tea *wink wink* HAHAHAHA
