„I'm sorry that I haven't told you earlier. Maybe it's too late now".
"Volodymyr..." .
I looked into his eyes with a mixture of fear, pain and surprise. "Please, don't say this. It's never too late."
He didn't respond but pulled me closer.
It all happened so fast that I couldn't even think about it.
Suddenly, I felt his lips on mine. He was kissing me as if it was the last thing he'd do.
A feeling of finally having him and losing him at the same time rose in me because we never kissed before. Tears built up in my eyes.
"I must go now. People are waiting for my reaction to this ... invasion", he told me.
I didn't manage to say anything else. I just watched him leaving.
Horrible hours passed by. I just followed the next things Volodymyr was doing on TV and on my mobile phone. I tried to get to know where he has gone and from where he goes online. But no one of his employees said a single word to me. So, I had to keep waiting – what killed me from inside.
