My eyes took note of every detail of her profile, every mannerism... "I'll be out of your hair by tomorrow morning." My ears suddenly registered her words. "You won't be going anywhere!" I growled out as my eyes bore into her frame.

"Alice, please safely take her to your home and make her feel welcome, perhaps allow her to relax and take a brief respite after her long journey," I spoke out, raising my voice to be heard over the wind, my eyes never straying from her even as Alice politely ushered her off into the heart of our territory.

Mason took a step to follow and with lightning-fast movement I reached forward and grabbed his shoulder increasing my grip slowly with every ounce of my strength until he fell to his knees. Kneeling to his ear I ordered, "Notify the entire pack, she may not know it yet but we've found our Luna! She will be treated with nothing but kindness and respect and will be shown every pleasure we can afford, I've heard how other packs have treated her, let me make myself clear that will never happen again!"

As I let my grip go Mason fell forward onto his arms, "Yes sir.." He panted out before collecting himself and running off to spread the news.

As I reached the beginning of our village a howl echoed on the wind from the village center. After a brief moment, the whole village sang with wolves howling in celebration. A smirk grew upon my face for the first time in a long while as I walked towards the first howls origin to answer the growing hoard of pack members wanting the full story.

My eyes were on her, following her arrival to the central hub, from the moment she stepped out of Alice's house.

As Alice and Violet approached the crowd parted as they all looked upon this new member of their pack, sizing her up. As the pair came up to me I gave a deep nod of thanks to Alice, who then took up her station behind me and to my left(Mason being across from her on my right).

"Violet, it's okay, no one here is going to hurt you in any way, shape, or form. You are under my direct order of protection. I'd like to know a little bit more about your story. What's your history with the packs? Where's your parents? How can they be ok with their human daughter being tossed around from pack to pack?" I asked, genuinely curious about this woman.

"I think actually though that should be more of a private conversation. Listen, tomorrow we'll be teaching and trying to integrate you into pack life, but tonight I wanted to give you something I'm almost positive no other packs have so welcome to your official welcome to the pack party!" I said with a deep chuckle.

Instantly everybody shouted, "Welcome Violet!" As the music began to play around the village center. Gazing at her, I extended my hand and said softly, "Come, enjoy."

"You certainly have a large pack," she murmured from beside me as she seemed to sink closer to my arm until she was barely visible.

"Well you are right about that, but everyone here came to be here of their own accord, whether it be from other packs, humans that were dying, or just found their way here. Mason, my beta male, came to join me as I passed through his old pack's territory, whilst Alice used to be human and was the victim of a serial killer in her hometown. Mason and I found her with a knife shoved in her abdomen, left to bleed out so I saved her, and she joined us. By the time I had enough friends following me I decided to settle my pack down, lay claim to a place to call our own. When we found this place it just felt instinctively perfect, that's when I felt stronger than ever knowing all these men and women looked to me to lead. My eyes became crimson that day. And now this is your family too, provided you choose to stay here." I said, noticing her look of confusion at the word "choose".

"Yes, that's right. I, Azure, Alpha of the Blue moon pack will not force you to stay here if that is against your wishes."

"I don't want to be a problem.." I could barely make out the words as they came out barely above a whisper.

"I can assure you, Violet, you won't be a problem here. You have a home and a family here but I wanted you to choose them. I'll give you a few days to meet the pack, learn about the life and then I'll ask again. While you're here Alice has offered a room in her cottage for you, so you'll undoubtedly see a lot of Mason there too." I say laughing heartily.

Turning I led her to the river away from the others. "Violet, you should know that we share a connection and I am dying to explore it but I can sense you've had more than your share of hardships so I will not force anything upon you. However I will furiously devote myself to stealing your time and opening your eyes to what I see clearer than a full moon on a midnight black canvas sky." I breathe out before giving her hand a small but firm kiss, lifting my eyes to lock on hers.

I heard her soft chuckle from beside me."I apologize, I am just afraid that, maybe you don't know me too well. Besides, wasn't I here to meet one of your packmates?" As she spoke her voice rang out softer than before.

"I will get to know you and as for whom you were here to meet, that does not matter at this moment in time. Tonight is only about you, Violet, indulge yourself. Do what YOU want." I ordered though my voice came out with a gentler tone than I'd ever experienced from myself.

"There was a time back when I was on my own, I never imagined I'd have all of this someday but this pack is still missing a crucial member, and accept it or not we all know it's you. The pack is connected so they've sensed what I feel everytime I look upon you. Sometimes the best things in the world are the things you take the biggest chances on after all." I gave a small smirk as I cast a sidelong glance at her over my shoulder.

"You can mill about your party if you want, or... you could come with me." I propositioned as I took my shirt and jeans off and waded into the cool water of the river until then water was level with my hips, craning my neck just slightly over my left shoulder to watch her on the bank.
