I heard her screams in my head before the actual tangible sound ever hit my ears

'Jaz took Violet!!'

Instantly, I took off towards the south at a full sprint shifting as I passed a hobbling Alice. Fear clenched my heart in that moment and although I wanted to speak with Alice and make sure she was okay, my mind wouldn't allow me to drift from mate. Mason immediately peeled off my trail as he went to help his mate, which I was thankful for.

Dylan and Cylan fell into his place behind me on either side, both ready to go against anyone whom dared hurt a member of our pack.
I didn't stop running until I was already past what marked our southern border, slowing only to keep an eye out for any opposition.

'Stay back. Keep hidden. You two are my surprise force to my overconfidence.'

Listening to orders, both of them pressed low to the ground as they skulked away into the shadows. Running deeper into the heart of foreign territory, I roared in an attempt to get attention focused on me.

My paws pounded against the soft, mushy ground as I kept moving further deeper into enemy territory to find Violet. Even though I could no longer see them, I knew both Dylan and Cylan were still with me, ready in case I needed any assistance.

So far though, any wolves coming to defend their territory were easily dealt with as a rage powered my body at the fact that at the moment I didn't even know if my Luna was even safe. Drawing closer now to their actual base of operations, I quickly switched to a stealthy approach as well, my darker coat allowing me to easily slip into the shadows around me and around the structures of their camp. As I skulked around, I started looking for Jazz and signs of Violet. Finding Jazz first, I stalked up to her before shifting and instantly grabbing her strongly by the throat.

"WHERE IS SHE?!" I growled out menacingly, my eyes blazing an infernal red. She responded in a calm and collected manner which only pushed my rage further.

"Foolish of you to think I would keep her here. If you have any hopes of finding her, you'll need me alive," her voice was horse due to my strength but it didn't seem to faze her.

"You don't even know just how wrong you are, it could just as easily leave you here dead for your pack to find while I track down my mate through instinct and the scent trail, which yall didn't cover very well!" I hissed as my grip around her trachea began to tighten just slightly. "You're just lucky that I stopped being that guy years ago.." I stated as I let her go, her falling to a heap at my knees.

"You ever come near me or my pack again though... Be ready to feel my claws." Just as I was turning to leave, she looked up as she took in a breathe,

"She's with.... her... Dad.. At the moment." She gasped out. Instantly that rage had flared up again at her words.

"WHERE?!" I demanded as I saw her, Dylan and Cylas all visibly shuddered at my tone of voice, raw with burning anger.

Jazz and her wolves were one problem but the thought of my mate at the hands of her abusive father sunk my soul to the deepest of lows. I should have known they were working together when we met with them before and I could see the greedy glint in his eyes when the money was exchanged.

Raking my paws over the ground as I ran through the trees, no longer worried about the territory I was in nor if Jazzy's wolves followed me at a distance, making sure that I left the territory like I said I would.

"She's.. W-with her... Father." Jazzy words pricked into my head again like a branding iron against my skin. Every thought was racing around Violet, praying I'd get there in time as the night began to give way to the first signs of the morning, my feet at this point were almost scraped raw. Though the pain had apparently decided to stay scarce as my anger still burned throughout my body.

Soon coming up on an expanse of buildings, I knew this is where Violet has lived before being welcomed into my back. Closing my eyes, I silenty lifted my head to sky as I took a deep inhale through my nose, easily distinguishing her scent, my eyes shot open as my feet began moving.

"Don't worry beautiful, I'm coming." I whispered under my breathe as Dylan and Cylan both approached their positions on either side of me.

I don't know how long I was out, whether it have been days weeks months, or time lost all meaning. When I finally came to my head was pounding and my heart struggled to beat, my mouth felt as if all moisture had been sucked out of it. I quickly took in my surroundings and realized I was chained, a little too tightly, against a basement well, only concrete surrounded me.

'It's okay Violet, Azure will find you just stay calm and stall,' a voice inside me whispered and I hoped it was enough to calm me but to no avail. A noise was made and my eyes quickly darted up, catching a figure heading down the stairs toward me.

"Well well well, look who we have here, a frail little human," his face was covered with a mask but his voice sounded like gravel.

"Please just let me go," I begged, my voice coming out much smaller than I wanted. He simply checked my chains and gave me a drink of water before
he disappeared again. I waited for many hours before I saw another lifeform and when I did I wished I was dead.

The man who stood at the top of the stairs, my next visitor, was my father.
