Waking up as usual before the others in the pack, I walked out of my home with a cup of coffee, lighting a cigarette. Hearing movement in Alice's home I figured it was just Mason preparing to leave back to his home, so when Violet came out I was almost shocked, though that immediately changed to overwhelming happiness at just seeing her. Quickly walking over, I greeted her with a gift of a lit cigarette, which she took gratefully.

"So today I'm gonna have Alice take you around and show you our territory borders, all that jazz, whilst Mason and I lead a small hunting party," I claim, my hand instantly going to her side and pulling her closer to me as I take her lips with mine.

"That sounds like a plan to me, Alpha," she smirked before leaning on her tiptoes to return my kiss with intensity.

"I hope you slept well, I did a lot of thinking last night," she whispered, and at my puzzling gaze, she paused before continuing. "About joining you, your kind, I think I'm leaning a little on the.. yes side," she whispered again this time, barely audible, but she knew I could hear her.

"What?!" I gasped out, truly shocked though I had hoped, it was not something I'd had anyone choose. "You realize the change involves your bones snapping and rearranging to the skeleton of a wolf, it's horrendously painful the very first time, I've only turned people who were dying before because of that. I selfishly want you to be a part of us but at the same time can't bear to see you go through the pain..." I trailed off as Alice and Mason came out kissing heavily.

"Mason, can I ask you something Alpha to Beta male?" I asked my tone cautious.

"Yeah... What's up?" He questioned in response. "When I turned Alice...... How... Did it feel? Watching her go through that pain?" I stuttered out, not knowing the best way to broach the subject.

"Oh....... It's hell, actually no, it's worse... Every break... Breaks you. Every scream... Shatters your world. Every... Fucking tear streaming down their face floods your lungs." He exclaims in a chilling voice, his face growing dark and expressionless.

It was Alice's turn to speak now as she approached Mason from behind and wrapped her arms around his waist before he turned to her and she planted a soft kiss on his cheek.

"Yet you stayed, through every bit of it you were by my side, and I wouldn't change who I have become for the world. I'm so happy this happened to me and I think it's what brought us closer than anything."

Violet's eyes instantly shot to mine and she gave me a small reassuring smile before she made her way closer to me, wrapping her arms around my broad shoulders.

"If I make this decision, please know the hell I could have been going through would be far worse had I not met you," she whispered, tightening her arms as she planted a small kiss on my full lips.

"So, enough about this, for now, you said you would like Alice to show me our borders?" This was the first time she had referred to my land as 'ours' and it took me by great surprise. She had never found a place to call home, her home had never been that place and it felt like she was finally falling into the life she was always meant to live.

"Yes, if you would be so kind Alice while I steal your man here for a hunting party, speaking of, Mason can you get Greg, Cylan, and Dylan for the hunting party?" I said, instantly switching into full Alpha mode.

"You got it, big man!" Mason shouted before turning to find the others with one final kiss to Alice, who then turned to me, her eyes narrowing on me.

'Don't let Mason discourage you from turning her, as a mate think how much it would kill you if she constantly protected you and you couldn't do anything for her, could never protect her. Mates are stronger together... Trust me.'

She then shifted her attention to Violet, "I'll be ready whenever you are, roomie." She stated, pointing to a spot by the river where she would wait for her.

Violet turned to me and let a small sigh fall from her lips before she leaned up and gave me a small peck. "I'll see you soon, okay?"

With a final goodbye, she turned to make her way to an awaiting Alice.

"Thank you, for being on my side and understanding," she said to her as soon as she approached. Alice turned to her and gave a big smile before nudging her arm ever so slightly.

"I feel for you, and as hard as it is on us, the ones going through it, its still pretty damn hard on them too, so don't take that lightly either," she warned as they began advancing towards the south quadrant.

Their territory was much larger than she expected and remembering back when I showed her how much more land belonged to me, she was in awe. This was truly a magical place and it would take a fool to not see the beauty in this land, no wonder so many people wanted it.

Five of us ran through the woods, paws hitting the ground near silently as the group wound their way through the small forest on the back end of our territory.

'Spread out around here, catch only what the pack needs, remember woods take care of those who take care of it.'

I ordered mentally to the other wolves.

'Mason and Greg, I want you two as a pair, and Dylan and Cylan are the twin team as always.'

I said with a huff in my mind. Mental sighs and other huffs were heard in agreement as the others began looking for any signs of prey. Taking a quick sniff, I caught a recent trail of a rabbit. Quickly I followed the scent to the entrance of the wooded area, seeing the animal within the bushes of the path, I pounced, and with an immediate bite to the neck, the rabbit stilled as I picked it up in my jaws.
