The rest of the night went by slowly while my mid continued to race at my options, never fulling landing on one choice or the other. At the end of the night Alice escorted me to the river where I was prepared to wait for Azure before she and Mason made their way back to her cottage.
"I'll be listening until he gets here so if you need anything just give me a hollar," Alice said before she left. I wondered over to the rock where Azure and I made love and I blushed slightly recalling the memory fondly. It was at that exact moment that my mind was made up.
"I want to be apart of your pack, in every shape and form possible. I Don't want to make the same mistake my mother made, Iwant to be with my mate forever," I spoke aloud to the woods and river that surrounded me.
"That's perfectly fine by me, baby," Azure laughed out suddenly as her came up from behind me, having just retrieved a small basket picnic from his home. "If it's alright with you, before that though, I went ahead and made up a little picnic for us to try and make this bit of time a little more date-ly, or something like that," he said softly, taking my hand to help me sit down on the rock. Setting the basket down, he quickly laid out the small spread between the two of us.
"Wine or beer, m'lady?" He asked holding up a bottle of either. After pouring me a glass of wine as instructed, he quickly gathered me a small plate of food. "I will turn you as long as it's truly what you want, Violet. Hell I'd turn you right now but I feel we shouldn't waste this amazing picnic date. After though, if you still want this, I'll do it babygirl." I took a small sip of my wine before nearly choking on it at his words.
"I feel like I need a little more time to prepare and maybe give the village a little warning," I spoke in a joking manner, although i wasn't joking at all. I took another sip of my wine before looking off into the woods around us.
"How about the next full moon, in three days?" I asked hesitantly. I trusted this man with my life and if there was anything I wanted out of this life, it was to have a sense of purpose, and this man gave me just that. "Can I stay with you tonight?" I asked him in a small voice, if tomorrow I was going to be in too much pain to do anything, I wanted to have a few normal nights as a human, however at the sound of shouting in the distance, I could tell it was going to be anything but a normal.
"Of cou- Greg?!" He half yelled in disbelief as his ears picked up the shouting way clearer than mine had. Looking between me and the village, I knew he had to go. "I've gotta go check on Greg, however if you want you could go to my place and get settled for the night. Ill be there as soon as possible," he said, brushing my hair behind my ears as he gave me a chaste kiss before turning back towards the village.
'Mason, grab Greg and lets hear what happened while he was gone, huh?'
'Got him, Alpha, where shall we meet you?'
Shifting quickly he took off sprinting towards the training field sending the image of his destination to Mason as he ran. Arriving just as Mason and Greg did, he reverted back to his human form.
"Good to see you back and still relatively healthy Greg." Azure spoke softly as he embraced Greg.
He gave a brief hug back, before replying, "Yeah, dumbasses didn't account for me being smart, assumed I was brute muscle in the pack." He said laughing heartily. "Practically took the keys from the guard as I was talking to him." He relayed, almost breathlessly.
I watched as he made his way back to the village and my heart sank ever so slightly. Maybe once I was turned I would understand his dedication to his pack a little better and then maybe he wouldn't be so afraid of taking me anywhere with him. I chewed on my bottom lip for a while as I was deep in thought, longing for the touch of my Alpha.
With a heavy heart I stood and made my way back to the village and into Alice's cottage without pausing to look at anyone. I quickly grabbed my clothes for the night and the next morning before I made my way to Azure's home.
The cottage was much larger than Alice's, made almost entirely out of wood and it had a beautiful large wrap around porch connected to it. I made my way inside and found myself in his room where I easily found the master bathroom and decided to treat myself to a long hot bath while I waited for his return.
"Listen, if they come after me that gives us even more of a right to take them down finally and be done with it." Greg snarls in slight irritation, fighting back his aggressions from being a captured member behind enemy lines.
"I'm not saying we won't Greg, however we have to do this smart, not a damn single member of this pack is expendable! Now you can get some food and rest up tonight, in the morning you'll let us all know what we can expect from them, or as much as you were able to figure out." Azure placated, placing a firm hand on Greg's shoulder. He gave a small, stiff nod before walking off towards his home.
"What we thinking now?" Mason asked as he lit a smoke.
"I'm thinking let them try to come for us if they want to, we have all information in our corner at the moment." Azure spoke calmly as he lit a joint from his cigarette pack. "Now I gotta get back to my dear Luna, hopefully she's still awake even." He sighed out as he lifted the joint to his lips.
My bath was long and well needed as I waited for Azure to return to me. As it was nearing the hour mark and Iwas preparing to get out, I felt a presence around me and due to it's calming nature, I knew it was Azure.
"Welcome home," I murmured softly before I pulled the plug on the bath and retrieved a towel off the counter, wrapping it securely around me. I made my way towards his bedroom and quickly threw on one of his oversized t-shirts and my red panties.
"Is everything okay?" I asked smelling the herbs on his clothes and breath as I drew myself closer to him. With a soft sigh I made my way to the kitchen and retrieved a coffee cup and filled it with the coffee I had made before I got in the bath. I then made my way to his porch, finding a rocking chair as I sat down and looked out over the night.
