—Dani's POV—
Nat and I finally arrived at the compound via quinjet, thanks to Tony I assume. Nat and I both got off the quinjet, completely exhausted from the past few days of crap that producer had us doing.
"Ugh, I can't wait to take a long hot shower and go straight to bed for like a week." Nat said as we walked side by side.
"You know, I think I'm opting for a hot bath." I said and turned to look at her. Her eyes went wide.
"Oh my god that sounds so much better than a shower." She said excitedly. Her eyes glanced in the direction of the compound and then back to me with an even more excited look on her face when I got swept up into a pair of strong arms. One warm and the other ice cold. Bucky. I smiled and wrapped my arms around him.
"You're finally home!" He said excitedly.
"Yes, I'm home, my love." I said as he finally set me back down to my feet.
We talked as we walked to the doors of the compound. When I walked in though, I was greeted by literally everyone. Clint was first to step forward and pull me into a big hug.
"I'm so proud of you for going out and doing that. You're gonna have to tell me all about it later. But as per usual, Tony has a small party set up for tonight. It's just us this time though, no random people." Clint said once he stopped spinning me around in his arms.
"Oh great. Just when I thought I could come home and relax. Now I have to shower and get all dressed up again." I rolled my eyes and sat down on the couch.
"If you're not feeling up to it, we don't have to. I just thought it would be nice for all of us to sit down and celebrate you." Tony said, kneeling in front of me.
"Tony, I'm just really not up for it tonight. How about tomorrow? I just really need some time to just relax. I've been almost nonstop the last month and a half and I'd just like a break." I said. He smiled at me and reached a hand up to my shoulder.
"Not a problem, kiddo. Tomorrow it is then. But before you go shower and get some rest, I have a surprise for you. I haven't even told anyone about it. Been working on it myself." He said and stood up, offering his hand out to me.
"Should I be scared?" I asked, glancing at Bucky who stepped into place behind me as I followed Tony down the hallway where the training room is but now there's a door next to it.
"Oh, no. I really think you'll like this. And before I open the door, this is a token of my appreciate of what you've done for us Avengers. You've helped us to become a family again and this was the only thing I could think of to thank you properly." Tony said and moved aside for me to open the door.
I opened the door and almost fell to my knees.
"Tony.... You built me my own studio?" I asked breathlessly.
"Of course I did. There's plenty of room in there for you to do your dance thing too. I wanted to make sure you had everything you needed. Even if you don't like the music life out there, in here, you can create your own without all the bullshit producers have you go through." He said. I turned around and hugged him tightly.
"Tony this is so thoughtful. Thank you so much." I said against his chest. He wrapped his arms around me and hugged me back.
"Aww, kiddo. It's the least I could do. Thanks to you, I've got my family back as a whole." He said and turned me around, nudging me to look around the studio.
I looked around the room, all sort of switches and panels for sound and lighting for the room on the other side of a delegating glass. The other side is a nice, open room with all sorts of guitars, a drum set, microphones, all sorts of other things. It was all so wonderful.
I had been so distracted by all the new things around me, I hadn't noticed everyone except Bucky had left. Bucky stood, leaned against the doorframe separating the two rooms.
"Tony really set you up, huh?" He asked.
"He really did. This is incredible. You know, I've never had a family before... and in the short time I've been around you and the others, I finally have one." I said, wanting to cry but managed to keep my cool.
"Something you should know, while they haven't said it, I know it's true. If ever there is a time when you need us. For anything. We would be there in a heartbeat." He said, taking a few steps to close the gap between us.
"I know. And that's why I know I have to figure out how to control this bomb inside. Because I swear to god if something happens to any of you, I will nuke them the fuck out of this planet. I just have to figure out how to control it without completely annihilating everything else around me." I said, thinking through my head on where I would even be able to do this without anyone finding out. I still don't want everyone to know. I want what I can do to stay a secret until it's absolutely essential for me to use it.
"There's a mission almost everyone is going on in a few days, Clint and I are the only ones not going. Everyone agreed that Clint and I would stay behind to spend some time with you since you just got back and everyone else would go on the mission. While they're gone, Clint and I can help you with figuring out how to control this thing." He said, rubbing my cheek with his thumb.
"We got you, sweetheart." Clint said and walked in.
"Don't worry, it's just me. Came to check on you." He added and sat down in one of the chairs.
"Whatever you need, hon. Buck and I got your back." He said and flashed a bright smile at me.
