Chapter 16

After two days...
Dave's pov;
I woke up early in the morning and it's Tuesday! When I opened my phone I saw that Joy texted me. I opened it and she said, " Dave I saw Marie and Peter together yesterday!"
I said, " That can't be true."
She said, " Yes it is, and I'll bet you that they will meet at the parking area this afternoon."
I said, " How did you even know?"
She said, " Because I heard what they talked."
I said, " Ok but it must be true?"
She said, " It would be really true."
I said, " See you later in the carpool, I'll seat beside you?"
She said, " Sure."
After eating my breakfast and getting ready for school, I went inside the carpool and saw Joy seating beside Marie. I sat between them and Joy passed me a note.
She said, " You really need to trust me."
I said, " Where was I when they were together yesterday?"
She said, " In the back gate waiting for the carpool."
I said, " Ok but we need to stop talking about it ok."
She said, " Ok."
After classes, I went to the parking area to find Marie, and I saw her walking on the sidewalk and followed her, until Peter came. So I hide behind the car where they were standing, and listened to what they were talking. Then I heard nothing until Marie said " No!" I looked up and saw them kissing. I went in front of them, and said, " Hey. Uhmm, did I disturb the two of you."
They stopped kissing and saw me.
Marie said, " Dave let me explain."
I said, " Don't explain it to me! And besides I think you just have fun with your lover after everything I done for you to be happy!"
She said, " Ding, please let me explain!"
I punched Peter on the face and stopped.
She said, " Dave please stop!"
" No you stop! Btw don't call me Ding cause we are over!"
" Dave I love you!"
" Don't tell it to me. Tell it to your lover!"
Danielle said, " Dave why are you shouting at my sister?!"
I said, " I am sorry Danielle but your sister just found a new lover!"
" What do you mean?"
" She kissed Peter, Danielle!"
" What!"
I run all the way to the back gate faraway from them.
Marie said, " Let me explain."
" You better explain it to me later. Dave wait!"
Danielle stopped me and told me to discuss it with Joy.
Joy said, "What do you mean?"
I said, " You're right they saw each other today and she kissed Peter."
" I knew it! But you need to calm down even it hurts so much."
Danielle said, " Just don't seat beside her today, and Joy you two should better seat far away. I'll just block her if she will come after you."
We said, " okay!"
I told Joy to come with me to the canteen because I will buy water. The when we walked, we saw Marie running after me but she was blocked by Danielle. When our carpool arrived, I told Joy that I will just seat in the front seat. The next day, good thing when I went inside the carpool Joy left me a seat.
Joy said, " Dave you got eye bugs and red eyes."
" Yeah I know. I slept late last night. Do you have any drops for my reds eyes?"
" I have one, but you need to rest your eyes too."
" Don't worry after putting the treatment I will close my eyes. But you need to know something."
" What is it?"
" I will go to Dubai this Friday and my mom will talk to the principal, and I will just get my requirements. Can you come at my house tomorrow to help me?"
" Sure but I will be the one to tell it to Danielle. So we will see you in the airport after class."
" Ok."
After putting the treatment, I closed my eyes and put my head on top of my bag. When we arrived at school, I went inside the classroom first and saw that she was talking to Marie and Danielle.
Time skip....
Today is Friday and it is the last day of school for me my classmates and teachers said goodbye to me. I went home early to prepare my things going to Dubai. When I arrived at the airport I saw Joy and Danielle inside waiting for me.
Joy said, " Good luck Dave."
I said, " Thanks I'll tell you when I will come back."
Danielle said, " Marie know you didn't want to see her so she just wrote a note for you."
I said, " Yeah I really don't want to see her I'll just put it in my bag and I will read it later."
Joy said, " It's 5:30pm. You need to go inside already."
" You're right bye guys I'll miss you."
" We will miss you too. Bye!"
I went inside the airplane and read the nite Marie gave to me. I am still not convinced of her apologize but I still can't stop thinking of her. When I arrived at Dubai I texted Joy and Danielle that I already arrived. I get my bag and waited for my Uncle to arrive.
After one year.......
Yes! It's summer and I will be going back in Cebu on time because it will be the first day of school. I called Joy, and she said, " Hey Dave."
I said, " Hi Joy, I've got great news. I will be there in Cebu early in the morning before classes starts."
She said, " That's great I will just go with your dad going in the airport and bring you clothes."
I said, " Just tell Danielle that I will arrive on the first day of school but don't tell to Marie."
She said, " Hmmm. Still love her?"
I said, "Quit of yeah."
" So see you tomorrow?"
" Yeah tomorrow."
" What time?"
" 5:00 in the morning."
" We will be in the airport on time."
" Bye!"
" Bye!"
I went to get my bags with some gifts for my friends and Marie. I went inside the car and ready to go to the airport. When I arrived at the airport, I went inside to check in and go the gate. My airplane arrived on time, and I went inside. I slept on the entire flight, and woke up on time when we arrived at Cebu. I went to get my bags and went outside. I saw Joy waving her hand and my dad's car. She help me carry my bags and went inside the car.
I said, " Here is you gift from Dubai Joy."
She said, " Thanks Dave."
I said, " No problem. Dad, you and mom's gift is in the bag where my clothes are."
He said, " ok."
I said, " So are we going to arrive on time."
She said, " Yes, and here are you clothes to wear today."
I said, " Thanks. I'll just put all of my gifts in the plastic."
" Now, I know you also bought for her too."
" Of course how can I resist."
" What's her gift?"
" You'll know later."
When we arrived at school, I went down and get my things. We went to the back gate and saw all of my carpool mates and Marie.
I said, " Hey guys!"
They said, " Welcome back!"
" Thanks and here are your gifts but all the same. Danielle I will your gift later with hers too."
Danielle said, " Sure! Right Marie. Why don't you say hi to him."
Marie said, " H-hi Dave."
I said, " Hi."
I went nearer to them. Then Marie ran behind the stairs.
I said, " What's wrong?"
She said, " Dave I know what's her explanation but if you'll just go to her and let her explain."
" Yeah I know."
I went behind the stairs and saw her crying.
I said, " Don't cry."
" Just let me explain Dave."
" I know I'm ready to listen."
" Peter said that it was a dare. I thought it would be quick be he stayed it long."
" That's what I thought first."
I hugged her to let her calm down. I told her that we need to go because it's almost time. I saw Joy waiting, she said that we were classmates so we went inside the classroom together. After classes, Joy said, " Dave, Danielle wants to talk with us."
I said, " Sure why not."
We went to the canteen and saw Danielle seating on the table. We went to the table and seat down.
I said, " Danielle what do we need to know?"
She said, " This summer, Marie is locking herself in her room and was always silent all the time."
Joy said, " you mean she got a depression."
" Yes! And now you are here Dave she is still silent."
I said, " Where is she?"
" In the gym."
I said, " Thanks. Here is your gift it's a necklace."
" Thanks Dave I think me and Joy got the same gift."
Joy said, " yeah."
I went to the gym and saw her sitting on the stage. I went up to the stage and sat beside her.
I said, " Hey."
She said wiping her tears, " What are you doing here?"
I put her hands down and wiped her tears and said, " Here talking to you."
She said, " I still love you."
I said, " And I love you too."
I hugged her and kissed her forehead.
I said, " You want to see your gift."
" Sure."
I put out a small box out of my pocket and gave it to her. It was a ring that was so beautiful that I've always wanted to give it to her. When she opened the box, she was staring at me and cried again.
I said, " I've bought that for you because it is precious for me and you are precious for me too."
She said, " Thank you. It is the most beautiful gift I ever received."
" Stop crying."
I wiped her tears and put the ring inside her finger. We went back to the canteen holding her hand.
Danielle and Joy said, " So what was his gift show us!"
Marie showed her hand and saw their faces shocked with their mouths open.
I said, " Don't worry cause those necklaces are also so real."
We went inside the carpool, and I saw her sleeping so I decided to carry her to her room so she won't wake up already. After I put her to bed, i left a note for her so she won't wonder how she went inside her room.
