Friday evening, before the party....
Sammie stare at her phone, rereading the texts from Michael.
Sammie:
I'll be right over.
Sammie: This can't be good. I don't have time to lose.
Over on her dresser, Bonnie mostly nibbles on her cage.
Bonnie: Squeak! Squeak, squeak.
Sammie: Yeah, I couldn't have said it better myself, Bonnie.
Sammie glance at her closet.
Sammie: Hm, the right look would go a long way....
Grinning, Sammie puts on the light it up outfit, before she check herself out in the mirror.
Sammie: Yup, this'll definitely stand out.
Just then, her phone buzzes again.
Michael:
You coming or not?
Sammie:
On my way! See you soon!
Sammie grab her keys from her dresser and rush out the door.
Soon, at Caleb and Ezra's house....
Sammie enter to find the living room completely packed. High school students from all grades cram together, spilling out into the backyard. Ezra and Caleb spot Sammie near the door almost immediately.
Ezra: Hey it is Sammie! You made it. Glad you could come.
Sammie: Dawwwwwwww! Of course, I wouldn't miss this for the world!
Caleb: Me neither.
Sammie: Caleb, you live here. It'd be hard to miss.
Ezra laughs.
Ezra: I just wanna say, Sammie, I'm loving your style. You're looking good.
Sammie: You know what they say....If looks could kill!
Caleb: Then you'd be a real danger to everyone. So, make yourself at home. We've got drinks over here, dancing over there, and some people are hanging outside too.
Sammie: Thanks, I'll--
Before she can finish, Michael pushes through the crowd to get to Sammie.
Michael: Hey, you're just in time, Sammie.
Sammie: Let me guess. Is this about Max and Kara?
Michael: Well, see for yourself....
Sammie follow Michael's gaze across the room....Where Max and Kara confront Morgan and Wes.
Kara: You'd be an idiot if you don't vote for us for prom king and queen.
Max: Yeah, we can give you what Sammie can't. Free T-shirts, hall passes to cut class, you name it.
