Tuesday morning, at school....
Sammie and Emma stare at the note from Sammie's locker.
Emma: I can't believe they'd threaten you like that! It's totally uncalled for.
Sammie: Aw, Emma, they can't scare me off. But I am not giving up running for prom queen. Max and Kara will have to try a lot harder than a note.
Emma looks more closely at the note.
Emma: Are you positive Max and Kara would stoop to this?
Sammie: They've been so determined to win prom King and queen, they'd do anything to get it. But there's one way to know for sure.
Later that day, at lunch....
Sammie and Emma head to the outside courtyard. Across the patio, she spot Max and Kara sitting with a few other Hearst students.
Sammie: Come on. Let's settle this.
Sammie walk over to the table and overhear the last of Brian's story.
Brian:....She only turned me down 'cause she was intimidated my good looks.
Terrance: I'm sure it wasn't your giant, inflated ego that sent her packing.
Brian: I wouldn't go there, you pompous, self-righteous piece of--
Kara: Will you just shut up? All you ever do is bicker!
Max: It's okay, babe. Tomorrow we'll eat lunch together, just the two of us. Then, we won't have to worry about those two.
Kara leans in to kiss Max, but notices Sammie and Emma standing by the table. Sammie cross her arms.
Kara: What do you two ladies want?
Sammie: Explain this.
Sammie hold the note out for Max and Kara to read.
Max: 'Surrender the crown or else!'
Kara: Explain what? I've never seen this before.
Sammie: That is totally uncalled for and stop lying will you! This has to be you. You've been trying to turn this whole school against me!
Emma: Sammie has a point. No one wants prom king and queen as much as you two.
Max: Blame someone else, blondie. We didn't do it.
Brian: If my boy Max says it wasn't him, it wasn't him. You don't have anything that says otherwise.
Zoe: I hate to admit it, but Brian's right. This note isn't proof.
Kara: For all we know, you could've written the note to set us up as the bad guys!
Sammie: You think I wrote the note to myself?! (Gasps) No one would believe you, Son of a bitch!
Kara: So you admit you did it?
Sammie: No! But if you told the school that, Berry High will have my back.
Emma: Yeah, everyone likes Sammie. No one would ever turn against her!
Max stands up and stares Sammie down.
Max: Are you sure about that?
Sammie: Positive.
Max: Then prove it.
Emma: But the note--
Kara: Proves nothing. Come back when you have some actual evidence.
Just then, the bell rings! Students around Sammie frantically pack up.
