Y/n's P.O.V.:

We decided to take Jungkook's car to retrieve my belongings because it had more space. During the ride to my house, we sat in comfortable silence, soft background music playing in the car. Now and then, Taehyung and Jungkook exchanged whispers or changed the song on the radio, adding a relaxed atmosphere to the journey.

As we approached my house, a sense of dread washed over me. While I knew that facing Jimin was inevitable, a part of me wished I could return to the boys' house and hide under the covers.

Upon pulling into the driveway, I noticed Jimin's car and two other unfamiliar vehicles. Jungkook parked on the street beside the curb, and we all exited the car together.

Without knocking, I punched in the passcode to the house. The door opened easily, and we walked in, one after the other. "Jimin," I called, "I'm back! Jungkook and Taehyung are with me." I ventured into the living room, expecting to find Jimin. However, I was in for a surprise.

"Y/n, is that you?" a familiar voice said as a man stood up from the couch. "Namjoon?!" I exclaimed in surprise, and his expression changed from astonishment to a smile. I returned his smile and approached him, hugging him warmly. "I thought you and the other boys were still in America."

After high school, Namjoon, Jin, Hoseok, and Yoongi had gone to study abroad in the U.S., and they had later started their own successful company. As far as I knew, they were still operating their business in the U.S., and no one had mentioned their return to Korea. If I had known, I would have made an effort to meet up with them.

"Didn't Jimin tell you guys?" Namjoon asked, and we exchanged confused expressions. "Me and the other guys have been back in Korea for a month now. We tried to contact all of you, but you had different numbers, and every time we came to visit, you were always out. I tried to get him to give me your number so we could hang out together, but Jimin always gave some half-assed excuse," Namjoon explained.

I felt a mix of confusion and frustration. Why would Jimin keep the boys' return a secret? He had no reason to do so. Jimin knew how much I missed the boys, and I had been deeply saddened when I learned they couldn't make it to our wedding on time. We used to hang out together all the time in high school, and they were some of the people I was closest to. Jimin had been with me on the day they left, so he knew how sad I was.

Flashback: (The day the Hyung line leaves for America)

I had barely slept the previous night, knowing that Namjoon, Jin, Yoongi, and Hoseok were leaving for America today to study abroad. I was genuinely worried about them, especially since Namjoon was the only one who spoke fluent English. I had tried to convince my parents to talk to their parents about letting them stay, but they insisted that I was overreacting. Jungkook and I were outside my house, waiting for Jimin to pick us up and take us to the airport to bid farewell to the boys.

"Are you all right, Y/n?" Jungkook asked, turning his attention to me. "I just wish they weren't leaving. I'm really going to miss them," I admitted, sighing sadly.

Jungkook gave me a reassuring smile and placed his hand on my shoulder. "I know it sucks, but they won't be gone forever. While they're away, you won't be alone. You'll have me, Jimin, and Taehyung, so try not to feel too sad, okay?" he said, tilting his head. I smiled and nodded.

"Hey, guys, sorry I'm late. We need to get to the airport quickly if we're going to make it in time to send the boys off," Jimin said, pulling up in front of us with a smile on his face.

I shook my head at him and jumped into the front seat. "Hi, Jimin-ah," I greeted, unable to hide my smile. Jimin turned to me, waving and returning my smile. "Hi, Y/n/n. How are you? You're not too upset about the Hyungs leaving, are you?"

"I wish they weren't leaving. With Namjoon gone, who am I going to talk to at two in the morning when I think up some question that needs to be answered? Who's going to introduce me to new music and sit and listen to my playlist for hours if Yoongi is gone? Who is going to take me on spontaneous trips to fun places they just happened to find if Hoseok is gone? And who is going to make me all kinds of different foods and snacks for me to try and make stupid dad jokes that always make me laugh if Jin's not here?" I said, looking down at my lap.

Jimin sighed. "I know you don't want them to go, and if it will really make you feel better, I promise that I will always answer your questions, even if it happens to be two in the morning. I can't promise you'll like all of my music suggestions, but I can promise to listen to music with you. I'll also take you to all kinds of fun places without warning if you think that makes it more fun, and I also promise to bring you food to try and attempt at making dad jokes, even if they sound stupid," he said, chuckling.

A huge smile broke out across my face. "You promise?" I asked. Jimin nodded, keeping his eyes on the road. "You're not alone, Y/n/n. You still have me and Jungkook, too, right, Kook?" "Of course, we'll always be here for you, big sis!"

Present:

"Jimin never said anything, and he asked me to leave last night, probably every night too," I explained. "But why would Jimin try to keep you away from us? He has no reason to unless there's something I'm missing," Namjoon pondered, clearly trying to figure out Jimin's motives. "A lot of things have changed since you guys left; everything is different now," Taehyung added with a saddened expression.

Authors note:

I told you that Jimin wasn't as bad as he seemed! You also got to see a little bit of what Jimin and Y/n were like before. There will be many more flashbacks to come and maybe even some stuff from Jimin or Taehyungs P.O.V. I hope you all enjoy this story, bye for now.
