Y/n P.O.V.:

I cast one final glance at Jimin before collecting my belongings and quietly stepping out the front door, shutting it behind me with a soft click. The weight of uncertainty hangs heavy on my shoulders as I find myself standing on the doorstep, unsure of my next move. Tears threaten to spill from my eyes, a testament to the emotions swirling within me. Despite the turmoil, my thoughts invariably circle back to Jimin, to our shared history, and the care I still hold for him.

As I wrestle with my inner turmoil, my gaze lands on Taehyung, who leans against the car, his brow furrowed in concern. His proximity offers a small comfort, his worry evident as he approaches me, his voice gentle as he inquires, "Y/n, are you okay?" Unable to contain the flood of emotions, I shake my head, tears brimming in my eyes. "I... I don't know, Tae," I admit, my voice barely above a whisper.

Taehyung steps closer, his hands cupping my face as he gently rubs my cheek with his thumb. "Did he hurt you?" he asks, his tone protective, his eyes searching mine for answers. I shake my head, the words catching in my throat. "No, it's not... it's not that. It's... it's complicated."

Confusion clouds Taehyung's expression as he presses for an explanation, his worry never wavering. "Then what happened? Why are you crying?" Drawing in a shaky breath, I meet his gaze, steeling myself to recount the events. "Me and Jimin talked, and he apologized. He admitted that he was wrong, that he owed me an explanation." Taehyung's frustration boils over, his fists clenching at his sides. "What excuse does he have now?"

I lower my gaze, the weight of Jimin's confession heavy on my heart. "He claimed he always loved me, more than just a friend. He said he never asked me out because of you, and that he only realized his feelings after his breakup with his ex." Taehyung's anger simmers beneath the surface, his disbelief palpable. "He's using me as an excuse to win you back?! After everything?!" he exclaims, his frustration evident.

"He's genuinely sorry, Tae," I protest weakly, my voice tinged with sadness. "He regrets his actions, his mistakes." Taehyung's anger flares, his voice rising with each word. "He regrets it now?! After everything he's done?! He hurt you, Y/n!" His impassioned plea cuts through the air, his words a stark reminder of the pain I've endured.

My resolve wavers under Taehyung's intense gaze, his concern mirroring my internal conflict. "I don't know what to do, Tae," I confess, more tears welling in my eyes. "He was my best friend. I can't just abandon him."

Frustration gives way to disappointment as Taehyung's features soften, his voice laced with sorrow. "Every time he hurt you, who was there? Me," he states, his words heavy with emotion. "I've always been there for you, Y/n, because I love you. I've loved you since we were kids. Every time you went back to him, it broke my heart, but I stayed because I love you."

"Tae," I murmur, reaching out to him, but he pulls away, his tears betraying his pain. "I really am a fool. I thought things would be different this time," he confesses, his voice strained. "I thought this was my chance to finally be with you." My heart aches at his admission, tears streaming down my cheeks. "I don't want to lose you, Tae," I plead, desperation creeping into my voice.

But Taehyung's resolve remains unyielding as he turns away, his words cutting through the silence. "I can't do this right now," he states, his voice tinged with resignation. "If you want to go back to him, then go. I won't stop you anymore." With that final declaration, he retreats to his car, leaving me standing in the driveway, shattered and alone, the echoes of his departure ringing in my ears.

I sit in the driveway, tears streaming down my cheeks, a whirlwind of emotions raging inside me. After some time, as my sobs quieten to sniffles, I reach for my phone, fingers trembling as I dial Jungkook's number. His familiar voice on the other end offers a small comfort, though tinged with concern. "Can you come pick me up?" I manage, my voice shaky.
