Y/n's P.O.V.

I set my phone down on the kitchen table and let out a long, slow breath, sinking back into the chair as a wave of exhaustion washes over me. Despite Jimin being understanding throughout this whole divorce process, the last few weeks have been nothing short of overwhelming. The complexities of our situation go far beyond just dividing assets; our marriage had been more than a union of two people—it was the merger of our family companies, with Jimin as the CEO since we returned from our honeymoon. While I have a business degree and the skills to run the company myself, I've never had the desire to do so. Jimin has done a good job of running the company, and I'm content with him continuing to manage the company while I just keep partial ownership. But with so much at stake, the red tape and technicalities have been daunting, making this divorce a complicated dance of negotiations and compromises.

As I stare blankly at my phone, lost in thought, a pair of familiar warm arms suddenly wrap around me from behind. The comforting scent of Taehyung envelops me, instantly bringing a smile to my face. I turn to look up at him, and he leans down to plant a gentle kiss on my cheek, his eyes drifting over the scattered papers, my open laptop, and my phone on the table.

"Still working on finalizing the divorce?" he asks, his voice soft and laced with concern.

I nod, offering him a small, weary smile. "Yeah, Jimin and I are trying to get everything settled before Thursday. That's when we're meeting with our parents to break the news and sign the papers." My gaze drifts back to the chaotic mess of documents that have consumed my days for the past couple of weeks.

"So, Thursday's the day?" he murmurs, resting his chin on the top of my head. His touch is grounding, a reminder that I'm not alone in this.

"Yeah," I reply quietly. "I didn't want to sign the papers without telling my parents first. I need to explain everything to them in person, to make sure they understand." Taehyung presses a tender kiss to the top of my head, his breath warm against my hair.

"That's probably a good idea," he whispers, his voice soothing.

I turn in my chair to face him, my eyes searching his. "About Thursday... Can you come with me? I know Jungkook's already coming, but I really want you there too."

I watch as he hesitates, his brow furrowing slightly. It's clear that the idea of being in the same room as Jimin isn't something he's thrilled about. But then he pulls me closer, his resolve firming. "Yeah, I'll go with you. I want to be there for you."

Relief floods through me, and I beam up at him, wrapping my arms around his waist. "Thank you, Tae. I know it's not easy for you to see Jimin."

He shakes his head, a soft chuckle escaping his lips as he leans down to press a lingering kiss to my forehead. "Let's forget about all that for now," he murmurs against my skin. "You've had enough stress for one day. Why don't we just relax?"

I tilt my head up to meet his gaze, a soft smile playing on my lips. "Did you have something in mind?"

A playful glint sparkles in his eyes as he grins down at me. "How about this?" He leans in, capturing my lips in a soft kiss that melts away the tension I've been carrying. His embrace tightens, pulling me closer, and for a moment, all the worries of the world fade away.

When we finally pull apart, I rest my head against his chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat. The stress of the day begins to dissolve, replaced by a comforting warmth that Taehyung always brings.

"I love you, Y/n," he whispers, his voice soft and sincere.

"I love you too, Tae," I reply, smiling softly against his chest, knowing that with him by my side, I can face whatever comes next.
