"Okay, okay. Wait a minute. You're telling me that you can fit 6 jumbo marshmallows in your mouth, and you can still say Chubby Bunny?" I ask, laughing.
"You're damn right I can. I could fit a grenade in this thing." Roman says, opening his mouth as wide as he can.
"Ugh. You're a fucking freak. That's why you're my best friend." I say, ruffling his hair.
"I'm a freak? If I'm a freak, then what in the blue hell are you, Reilly?" He asks, crossing his arms.
"Simple. Psycho." I laugh.
"You got that right. You may be worse than Ambrose." He tells me.
"That man is a class of his own. No one can be crazier than him. It's like he's running on all cylinders. Does he ever sleep?" I ask.
"Rarely. Most of the time he'll be up in the hotel room whispering to himself about god knows what." He shakes his head.
"Truth, or dare?" I ask.
"Random. Dare." He says.
"I dare you to go into catering, and break a chair." I say.
"What? No way in hell! Last time you made me do that, Vince made me put it back together." He laughs.
"Chicken. If you get in trouble, just say you're working on your chair shots." I say, biting my lip.
"You're lucky you're my best friend." He shakes his head, standing up.
"Oh my gosh. Are you really going to do it?" I ask.
He stops, and looks down at me.
"You were being sarcastic, weren't you?" He asks, squinting his eyes at me.
I nod, and laugh.
"You are way too gullible, Reigns." I say.
"Whatever. You're a dork." He says, pushing me lightly.
"I could have gotten hurt, you heartless Samoan!" I whined.
"But you didn't." He shakes his head.
I sigh, and lean my head on his chest.
"What's up, kid?" He asks.
"Just thinking about things. Nothing new." I shrug.
"Same old, same old." He says.
"Sometimes I just wish things could have happened differently." I say.
"What do you mean?" He asks.
"Nevermind. It's a long story. I'll tell you some other day. I promise." I smile, resting my hand on his shoulder.
"You know you can tell me anything, Rose. That's what I'm here for. What kind of friend would I be if I can't help you when you're down?" He frowns.
"I promise I will tell you when I'm ready. Right now.. I just can't even think of what I would actually say to you." I sigh.
"Rose, come on. You're freaking me out. Is it bad?" He asks.
"Some of it is. It's just about my life, and everything. How it was growing up, and all. Don't worry. I'll be fine." I assure him.
He glances at me briefly before nodding his head.
"Good. I don't want my Rose to be upset. When you're upset, I'm upset." He says, hugging me tightly.
"You're the best, Roman." I say.
"I only try. The true best is in my arms right this very moment." He says.
"You really know how to make a girl feel special." I tell him.
"Well, I've always been told to treat others how you want to be treated." He smiles.
"That smile could kill someone, boy. Put it away." I say.
"What? Too much for Rose to handle?" He asks.
"Go get ready for your match!" I laugh, shooing him away.
My smile faded as soon as he left. Loneliness again consumed me.
One day, Rose. One day everything will be okay. One day, you won't be hurting anymore.
One day, someone will come into your life, and make you realize why it never worked out with anyone else.
