Waking up Wednesday to a snoring Roman was always a nice thing. Not.
"Can you shut up, please?" I ask, smacking him with a pillow.
He sits up quickly, glaring at me.
"You sound like a growling dog, Ro. I want to sleep. If I wanted to listen to dogs barking, I'd walk down an alley in Daisy Dukes." I say.
"Someone's feisty this morning." He says, raising his eyebrows.
"Well, since you woke me up with your growling, I thought I'd spread some love this nice rainy morning." I tell him sarcastically.
"You need to pipe down a little." He says, throwing up all these hand gestures.
"What are you, in a gang?" I ask, motioning to him.
He smiles, but doesn't say anything.
"Stop staring at me. You're freaking me out." I say, looking away.
"If I could, I would." He says.
"What do you mean if you could? It's not that hard." I laugh.
"When I see a beautiful woman, I'm afraid to look away." He whispers.
"Why is that?" I ask, my heart rate accelerating at his sentence.
"If I look away, I'm afraid I'll never see someone that beautiful ever again." He tells me, grabbing my hand lightly.
"I'm not beautiful. I'm far from it." I say nervously, getting up.
"I beg to differ. Come with me. Right now." He says, pulling me behind him.
"Where are you taking me?" I ask.
"To a mirror." He says.
"Why? I know exactly what I look like." I tell him.
"I don't think you do, Rose. I really don't think you see." He shakes his head.
"Maybe because there's nothing to see!" I argue.
He stops, and pulls me in front of him.
"Tell me what you see." He says.
"Brown hair, blue eyes. Somewhat tan skin. Average build." I shrug.
"Want to know what I see? Want to know what the whole world sees?" He questions, staring at me into the mirror.
"Sure." I say.
"An irresistible smile, two crystal clear oceans that can make anyone drown in them. Silky hair that would make any woman jealous. I see a role model, a woman that every little girl o's dying to be like. I see the sweetest woman in the entire world. The most beautiful woman in the history of mankind." He says.
"You may see that, but I don't see any of it." I say.
"How can you not? Rose, you are the most stunning woman I've ever seen, and it's killing me that you don't see this." He says, holding onto my hips.
He stares into my eyes with this undying, burning passion.
"I... I just..." I stutter.
His face gets closer, and closer to mine.
In that moment. In that very moment, everything I've ever felt went out the window.
Every insecurity, every doubt, every bad thought was gone. They all vanished.
"I love you. You're the greatest thing that's ever happened to me. I don't even care if you don't feel the same." He says, tears filling his eyes.
"Latch." I say, my eyes filling with tears as well.
"What?" He asks.
"Now I've got you in my space, I won't let go of you." I sing, pulling him into. Me as close as I could.
"If there are boundaries, I will try to knock them down." He sings quietly
"I'm latching on babe, own I know what I have found." I sing, looking up at him
"How do you do it? Got me losing every breath." He sings, brushing the hair out of my face.
"Got you shackled in my embrace, I'm latching onto you. I'm latching onto you." I say, holding him tightly.
"I love you so much Rose Reilly." He grins, looking down at me.
"I love you too, Roman Reigns." I smile, looking up into theost loving pair of eyes over ever seen.
"I feel we're close enough, could I lock in your love?" He sings.
"I won't let go of you." I smile, a tear sliding from my eyes.
He was right there to wipe it away.
"I don't want to see those. Ever." He says, swaying from side to side.
"Not even the happy tears?" I ask.
"The only time I want you to cry happy tears is when you say I do." He tells me.
I smile, bit quickly look to the ground.
"None of that either. I want to see that beautiful smile every single day until I can't see any longer." He says.
I shale my head, and tears start rushing down my face.
"I was so oblivious to you before. I am so sorry." I say, shaking my head as I try to pull away from him.
"It's not your fault you were hurt so much, Rose. I understand it took time for you." He says, pulling me back into him for a hug.
"I honestly don't know any other person that would wait on a girl as long as you have." I laugh.
"Like I told you before. If I look away, I'm afraid I'll lose it forever." He smiles.
"I don't think you'll be losing me any time soon, Ro." I smile.
"Can I do what I've been wanting to do for the past 3 years?" He asks.
I smile, and nod.
He leans in, gently pressing his lips to mine.
"As sweet as candy." He grins, resting his forehead against mine.
"Thank you." I smile, kissing him softly.
"No. Thank YOU." He says, rubbing his nose against mine.
