No matter how much I try, I keep regretting what I said to Ro.
Me and Dean walked into IHOP and got seated at a booth.
"What can I get you two to drink?" The waitress asks.
"Two coffee's please." I smile.
"Right away." She nods, walking away.
I push my silverware around the table, lost in my thoughts.
"Talk to him." Dean speaks up, breaking the silence between us.
"No." I quickly respond.
"Why?" He sighs.
"I told you, I'm sick of needing him for a third crutch." I shrug.
"He loves you. You need to realize that. Hes hurting right now, and what you said probably didn't help the situation. As much as I like badass Rose, I also know you're both in the wrong." He says.
"So, you hook up with me, encourage me to tell off Ro then say I'm wrong?" I sarcastically laugh.
"You don't understand, Rose. I know him. You need to see the light at the end of the tunnel." He shrugs.
As I was about to speak, my phone rang.
"Ro.." I roll my eyes.
"Answer it." Dean nods.
I reluctantly press the screen, holding the phone up to my ear.
"I'll leave you alone for a second." Dean whispers, sliding out of the booth.
"Rose?" Roman says in a gritty, choked up tone. I could tell he'd been crying.
"Yes?" I ask.
"You were right." He replies.
"About?" I tilt my head.
"Everything. The way I've been treating you, the way I've been acting in general, the way you feel about me cheating, I know how it feels now. It fucking hurts. I'm so sorry I put you through this." He growls.
"Ro.." I sigh.
"Just, can I meet you somewhere?" He asks.
"Where are you?" I ask.
"CrossFit downtown." He responds.
"I'll get a ride there I guess." I sigh.
"Alright. See you soon." He says, hanging up.
"Ugh.." I snarl, grabbing my purse.
Dean returns to the table and sits down.
"So?" He asks.
"Can you drive me somewhere?" I roll my eyes.
"No problem!" He smiles, helping me up.
We get to the car and he helps me inside.
"Not to be rude here, but why do you care?" I ask.
"Because.. I feel bad for one, and two, you guys deserve to be happy." He shrugs.
"I have an idea, Ambrose. How about we stay best friends?" I smile.
"I like that idea very much." He smiles, starting the car.
"Where to?" He asks.
"CrossFit downtown." I reply.
"Got it." He nods, pulling out of the parking lot.
"I'm still hungry.." I laugh.
"Oh my god.." He facepalms.
"WHAT? I need food." I shrug.
"Here." He laughs, handing me a piece of gum.
"I know who I'm going to for food during the apocalypse." I roll my eyes.
"Hey! I'll take it back." He frowns.
"I'm kidding. Watch the road, bitch." I laugh.
"Asshole." He smirks.
"Hoe." I squint.
"Slut." He laughs.
"Cunt." I laugh, punching his shoulder.
"Our friendship is so fucking weird." We say simultaneously.
"REALLY?" I laugh.
He shrugs as we pull into the CF parking lot.
My heart drops when I see Roman's car.
"Good luck, bitch." Dean smiles.
"Thank, bitch." I laugh, shutting the passenger door.
I watch him drive away as I turn my attention to the entrance.
"Here we go.." I sigh, crutching through the doors.
