"Why can't he say that to me directly?"
"Sebastian doesn't want to be a disappointment to anyone, and he hates to see you feeling that way after waiting for him to take his time before he comes back."
It's 9-ish in the morning of a Monday and I'm at CEO Park's office, talking about how Sebastian isn't in his greatest shape to perform in a huge crowd.
"When does he plan to do it then?"
CEO Park's emotion is a mixture of indignation and sympathy.
I shrug. "That, he's the only one who can answer. I'm just here to deliver the message."
He shuts his eyes for a moment, with his fingers on the side of his forehead indicating that he's about to have a headache because his initial plans for Sebastian's extravagant comeback concert will be moved further.
I feel a pang of guilt, considering I was the one who suggested the idea.
BUT STILL.
Sebastian has to refocus again before doing anything extensive that would only cost him emotionally.
"Is he at home? How is he doing?"
"I think so, but don't worry too much, we're constantly checking up on him."
After having dinner at our house, I initiated to drive MY car back to town so he can rest.
We were quiet the whole time, none of us were blabbing about nonsensical stuff or bickering with each other.
We were just listening to Byul's I Think I—it's our favorite song when we want to feel like a main character like in a TV drama—on repeat while his eyes were fixed on the road, looking over to the window blankly.
I wanted to interrogate him about his love confession in front of my family but I've decided to let it go for the time being. I'm already worried sick about him, I don't want another thing on my plate to overanalyze.
The moment I dropped him off at Le Bale, I immediately called Tasha and Calvin, asking them to look after him since I cannot do all the work. Duh.
Thankfully, Calvin instantly got the cue and went to Sebastian's place the same night. He said they played video games until 3 a.m. and Sebastian was peacefully sleeping when he comes home by afternoon yesterday.
"Is Gwen aware of this? Why isn't she here when something's going on with Sebastian?"
"Uhh, I don't know if Sebastian mentioned it to her already..." Oops. Gwen's existence completely slipped my mind.
I should have consulted the situation with her first but I guess I was far too late to blame myself.
"Tsk," He shakes his head. "Okay. I'll loop her in."
"Alright! Thank you," I say as I turn around, walk out of his office, and march straight to the pantry where Tasha is brewing Arabica beans.
I knew she'd be here.
It has become a habit of hers to make her coffee in the morning before anything else.
"Hey," She waves her hand. "Do you want a cup?"
I promptly nod.
