Clock of invisibility
My mind kept on repeating that phrase over and over again as the room was became so silent. My eyes were on the ground I could not look around with a certain fear in me that everyone would be pointing fingers at me. They would accuse me and my father.
“A spell?” Preston asked. “And how do you know of this spell. Enlighten me.” His voice had not lost any of its earlier quality. And he was still as scary as hell hound.
“The fact that my knowledge is so vast” He replied. “And I just know stuff.”
Preston’s grip tightened.
And then he suddenly let go of him. Alexander not having expected it fell to the ground. He was just steadying himself when Preston still in his daze threw a punch that could have sent any normal human skyrocketing into the wall.
On Alexander though the punch had its effects, I could tell he was dizzy for a few seconds. He must have definitely seen a bit of stars circling around his eyes.
It took another second to realize that the doctors were somehow looking at me. “What?”I spoke.
The oldest doctor, Doctor Wesley was it said, “You are his mate?” I nodded. He continued but this time in a whisper, “You should try to calm him down.”
I knew that.
I knew that from the very beginning but I don’t know why I had not done anything.
I looked at Preston he had moved back to stand near his brother, and using the full alpha powers he had somehow been able to get, he ordered, “you will tell me everything you know about this and you will tell the doctors all they need to know”
The order was so strong that Alexander bowed his head.
How was that...?
The doctors looked at Alexander with the expectation that he was going to fulfil their new alpha’s wishes. Alexander sighed, and pulled a scared Toni into his arms, “cousin dearest,” he spoke looking at me, “you need to call daddy dearest now.”
One of the doctors replied. “Her father is Doctor Houston, he is not aware of our kind. He will not be allowed here.” This doctor sounded arrogant.
“Her father knows more shit about you people than you do okay.” He smiled. “Call him and tell him exactly what is happening.”
I looked at Preston his eyes were still glowing but he felt calm now. His anger was being slowly torn away from the rest of him. I moved closer to him and put my hand in his. “What’s going on?” I said in our mind link.
He looked at me and his eyes finally went back to normal, and I could feel the normal Preston I knew come back to life. “I have no freaking idea angel.” He squeezed my hand lightly and it was assurance enough that in due time all would be well. He glanced around the room and said to one of the doctors, “find Nikola and bring her here. She needs to be with him”
The doctor was taken by surprise, he looked at Preston. “As in Nikola Olsen?” he questioned.
He nodded, “yes.”
I guess Nikola was famous around this part.
“She has a tattoo on her arm?” he asked.
“Are you trying to see how far I would go before I order you to go forcibly?” he hissed. The doctor shook his head and headed out with a certain strut that was noticeable. Or maybe that was the way he walked.
I went outside the room the rest of the doctors also followed but they went their own ways. As they had left though, I couldn’t help over hear one of them talking about Nikola. “Who is this Nikola?”
