Y/N hadn't expected this day to come so soon- or at all for that matter, meeting her family. It would come as a surprise to most that he and Wednesday have been getting on well. Better than well. He couldn't remember the last day the pair had not spent by each others side- whether in silence or writing together. She seemed enamoured for him and he adored her.

Although they weren't at the stage of their relationship where they would sleep in the same bed together, the two would often lay beside one another and watch the stars when the nights weren't too cold.

Of course, they would spat, squabble and bicker but they did it with love in their hearts- no matter how cold said hearts were.

The journey to the Addams manor was quiet. Wednesday had fallen asleep about halfway through the long journey and Lurch had been less than accommodating for Y/N's attempted conversation. To make things worse, any level of 'communication' with Thing was extremely limited thanks to the lack of a notepad and pen and a lack of mutual ASL knowledge.

Instead, Y/N was forced to just sit in silence, the only sounds filling the air being the gentle hum of the engine and the gentle, relaxed breaths of Wednesday. He couldn't really complain. Wednesday was quite adorable while asleep- despite her pale skin suggesting she had been dead for the last few days.

By the time Lurch pulled up outside the entrance, Wednesday had been sleeping for a good hour and a half. Y/N reached over with his far hand and caressed her cold cheek, lulling her awake.

Her dark eyes fluttered to life as she came to. A brief flash of heat could be felt beneath his hand as her cheeks grew in blush. "We're here, mi amor?" She asked sleepily as she lifted her delicate head to look out of the car windows.

Y/N nods his head and smiles as a brief response. Despite his perpetual nerves about meeting Wednesday's parents, he couldn't shake this aura of excitement from his bones. He wondered what her family would think of him... he and Wednesday were quite alike in the sense that they both quite enjoyed the darker things in life, especially the macabre. They each had a similar sense of humour and enjoy many hobby together- but there was still this pang in his chest that maybe... just maybe her family wouldn't approve of him.

Wednesday slipped a cold, macilent hand into his, offering a gentle squeeze. "It will be okay, mi araña." She assured. Though her disposition remained as stiff as a stone, Y/N could see the sincerity through her eyes.

He offered a single nod before slipping his hand away and getting out of the car. Thing latched onto his passing arm and climbed up to his shoulder as Y/N stepped out of the vehicle.

Finally out of the car, Y/N could finally appreciate the grandeur of the Addams Family mansion. It was breath taking enough to puncture a lung, despite its dishevelled, unkept nature. He straightened out his jacket as he stepped around the car to meet Wednesday on the other side. "You could have told me you home was so big." He uttered before his attention was taken away by Lurch getting his trunk out of the car. "Here, I don't mind taking that." He offered, holding out his hand awaiting for his luggage to be returned to him. Lurch merely looked at him before walking ahead with his and Wednesday's trunk anyway. "Alright then..." He breathed.

"Come, my mother and father will await us." Wednesday spoke up, gazing up towards
Y/N. He looked down at her and nodded. Taking a deep breath, they approached the entrance.

As the three got closer, Thing dropped from Y/N's shoulder and scurried through the already open front door. A distant cheer at his arrival could be heard, "Thing, it is wonderful to see you again, camarada." A deeper voice boomed. Y/N guessed it was Gomez.

Another voice called out. "And with all five of your limbs still intact!" This voice was certainly more feminine, Y/N presumed it was Morticia.

The two stepped up the basalt black steps to the entrance and walked through the front door together.
