It was one of those days where most students didn't dare leave their dorms. Those who had classes that day likely found that their schedule had been lifted due to the icy pathways and many a frozen doorways, meaning the majority of classes couldn't be accessed.
Y/N however, was very well prepared. Being a psychic capable of a degree of precognition, he was well aware of the on coming storm. He made sure his phone alarm was turned off the night before so it never woke him up in the morning. Although, his roommate's alarm still went off, despite Y/N telling him of his vision.
The only issue was, his visions were far from reliable. It was as if his abilities only allowed him to see 1 of many possibilities- and in this vision, one Wednesday Addams- his lover, would slip on ice and hit her head. He couldn't allow that to happen. He wouldn't. He was going to do something about it.
He had the time at which it would happen and the location, all he had to do was show up when he was needed and save the day. Be the big burly hero. In his head, he would show up just in time and catch her in his arms before she hit the ground- and they would look at each other longingly- and it would be romantic and passionate and perfect. He thought it would be simple.
Of course, this wasn't his first idea- initially he planned to just tell her that she should stay inside today. But, being the busy, cold detective she was, Y/N didn't have the chance to warn her. He tried messaging and phoning her but she never answered, so he was forced to wait it out. He paced the length of his dorm room as he waited- counting the minutes.
12:23
12:24
12:25He put on his shoes and made his way down to the courtyard, waiting some more.
12:29
12:30
12:31There she was, stalking through the exposed corridors and through the middle of the courtyard. His eyes darted to the ice that remained just a few steps ahead. "Wednesday, stop!" He called, stepping forward.
It appeared that in his narrow sight, he failed to see the ice just a few steps in front of himself. Before he had even planted any weight on his leading boot, he slipped. It was almost comical in the manor of which he fell. He went heels over head rather than the other way around. If a snapshot was taken mid fall, anyone would swear he had just been hit by a semi-truck traveling at full speed.
Wednesday's head snapped around just in time to see him hit the ice. His head pounded against the ground as an audible crack sounded "Y/N." She whispered under her breath before swiftly moving to his side. She placed his head in her lap as her hands moved to rest on his cheeks. "Wake up." She called.
There was no response. She let out a frustrated groan as she slapped his cheeks, attempting to get some sort of response out of him- but still nothing. The only sign that even showed he was alive was the dog coming from his mouth as his chest lifted and compressed.
"Brilliant, I am stuck with you." She breathed. "Again." She muttered in addition- although there was no one around to hear her.
It had been hours before Y/N woke up. When he opened his eyes, everything seemed to be spinning and extremely blurry- it felt like someone had thrown bleach in his eyes. He was fairly sure that he was in Wednesday and Enid's room, the only problem was that he had no idea how he got there. Upon further inspection as he sat up right, he could just about make out a figure lay in the bed across the room. His bare feet were cold beneath the covers. He groaned as he turned his head to see Wednesday sat beside him. She appeared to be slouched forward with her head resting on the bed he lay in. He could just make out her nose and lips, the rest of her face was buried in the covers and blankets. If he was a little chilly under the blankets- he had no doubts that she would be freezing. He frowned a little.
