Wednesday Addams wasn't a good girlfriend. She hated the intimacy that dating Y/N brought, even though she wouldn't give it up for anything.
She hated his handsome features. She hated his relaxed take on life. She hated how talented he was. She hated him.
"Hey, 'Nes... Come look at this." Y/N called out from on the balcony.
"I will not fall for your trick again, mi amor." She called back, shaking her head. This wasn't the first time Y/N had tricked her that day- or week for that matter. She typed away at her novel. Her work could stop for nothing! Well- almost nothing.
"I... I think someone is getting stabbed!" He shouted to her. "Holy shit- they are! Wednesday are you seeing this?"
Wednesday felt a rush of excitement spike her interests before she stood up from her seat at her writing desk and crept out of the circular window.
"What? Where?" She asked- no demanded, raising a brow.
Y/N closed the gap between them and wrapped his arms around the smaller girl. Tight. "I lied, I just wanted to hug you." He answered, a grin plastered on his face.
She groaned before hugging him back. She hated how she fit perfectly into him, her head rested perfectly on his chest and her arms seemed made for holding him. She hated his shit-eating grin- the one he made when he was proud about something he had done. She hated how much she adored him. "You're an idiot."
"That's the charm." He chimed letting his eyes close.
"How unfortunate." Wednesday muttered. She looked up at her lover and pushed up on her tip toes to place a kiss on his nose. "Trick me again and there really will be a stabbing." She told him before letting go of him.
He let go as well, pursing his lips as he raised a brow. "But then you would be lonely."
"I never said I'd kill you." She replied plainly. "You can survive a stabbing you know"
"Yeah, I know." He replied with a small defeated sigh. "But if you stabbed me, you'd go to jail. Jail isn't fun."
"How would you know?" She enquired, looking him dead in the eye.
He shifted on his feet as he mumbled. "...Monopoly..." He answered. "But that's besides the point! You would be Jericho's most wanted."
Wednesday scoffed as she smirked. "Right." She turned on her heels as to step back through the window. Before she stepped through, she turned back to him. "It's nice to be wanted." She told him.
"Not for attempted murder it isn't!" He shouted back, small, breathy laughs escaping his lips.
She shrugged before stepping through. She hated his sense of humour because she understood it. She hated that she clung to every word he uttered. She paused her stride a few feet beyond the window. A sense of guilt ran over her as if she were being drowned in a river. She took him for granted and she knew she shouldn't. She turned on her sock bearing heels before approaching the opening once more. Her hands grasped the metal frame as she peered her head through. "Y/N?"
His head turned from his outlooking position by the wall. "Mhmm?" He hummed back in response.
"Would you..." She trailed off a little as her eyes met the ground, too afraid to meet his gaze. "Would you like to go on... a date with me?" She asked, her tone timid.
"No." Y/N responded. Wednesday's head shot up with a disheartened disposition on her features- she looked as if love had just given her a punch square on the nose. A mischevious smirk grew on Y/N's features as he snickered. "You should see the look on your face right now." He teased. "Of course I'll go on a date with you- what do you think I would actually turn you down?"
"No, of course not." She quickly blurted out with a shake of her head. "I imagine you're far too afraid of me to truly turn me down." She deadpanned, regaining some of her deadlike composure.
"Oh, of course. You terrify me." He admitted with open palms. It was true. She really was horrifying. In fact, he often had nightmares about her but that was to be expected when your girlfriend looked like a week old corpse- minus the maggots. "But- your face when you're completely confused is just too adorable- it's worth the risk of you taking my head while I'm sleeping."
"Adorable?" She questioned as her face dropped. "Really? Adorable?" She demanded through a clenched jaw and gritted teeth. Seeing him gulp hard, Wednesday balled up her fists. "Y/N, how good are you at gladiatorial mace battling? Because I suggest you brush up on your skills." She threatened.
He'd only seen mace battles in crappy old eighties movies but he knew it could be brutal and beyond bloody- just her style. He knew he stood no chance. "Oh- come on, Wends'... It's not a bad thing I think you're cute." He pleaded, trying to convince her otherwise. "You're like a cute little fruit bat- or a deeply misunderstood but adorable tarantula- or jumping spider might be a better fit."
She let her eyes close whilest taking a deep breath as to regain a calm state. She knew that any normal girl would blush or be happy about being called cute so she guessed that she should show him some kindness.
She stepped back through the opening of the window and approached him. Wednesday looked up at Y/N before pushing up on the tips of her toes and planted a quick but firm kiss on his lips. She pulled away. "Call me cute again and you might end up on a date with death rather than me." She told him while a slender finger poked him hard in the chest
"Point taken." Y/N stated, not putting up a fight before he lent down and kissed her forehead. "I love you, my little jumping spider." He murmured, a grin growing.
With a huff and a roll of her eyes, she responded. "I love you too, mi corazon."
