With her knees pulled up to her chest and her arms looped around her legs, Wednesday sat in front of the large glass window in her room. It was late and the moon was in full show, which was perfect as the light reflected on the heavy falling  raindrops. She thought they looked like diamonds as they fell.

She had been sat there for quite some time, just absently thinking about this, that and the other. She pondered her future, rethought her past and wondered what Y/N might be dreaming about.

The sound of the pitter patter hitting the window was calming, as was the not so distant sounds of Y/N lightly snoring every so often in her bed.

She was certainly a night owl, or perhaps a bat was a better fit. She loved being awake while everyone else was away with the fairies and demons as nightmares and dreams played on their minds. For her, it was like time would stop for a while.

She would slip out of Y/N's warm embrace and tip toe on the pads of her bare feet to sit in front of the window, on the cold wooden floor- and she would just watch. Of course, this ruined any form of sleep schedule and many a time she never crawled back into the warm hollow of covers, blankets and cuddles until the sun began to rise above the horizon.

It wasn't that she disliked these things- she thoroughly enjoyed them. But sometimes, she liked to dig deep within her mind without any distraction. She liked to dig deep and grave rob her own deepest thought that should be left unsaid and her worst urges that should remain unexecuted. But other times, she just liked to watch the rain.

So distracted, Wednesday failed to hear Y/N get out of bed and move towards her. He sat to her right and finally caught her attention. He had brought the covers with him, which he wrapped around her shoulders, scooting closer to her. She turned to look at him for a moment, before once more turning to watch the rain.

"I've been thinking." She explained quietly, her voice weak from a lack of use for hours on end

He hummed in response as he let his thumb trace shapes on the small of her back.

She took the hum as a sign of acknowledgement and for her to continue. "I was trying to figure out why you are with me." She carried on.

"It's because of your smoking hot looks, Addams." He deadpanned in response, smiling to himself.

"If you do not give me an honest answer I will beat you to death with a wooden spoon." She replied coldly.

He cleared his throat and took a moment to think. "I don't know... I was just drawn to you I guess."

"But why?" She insisted, not willing to let the subject go. The rain seemed to get heavier as more diamond shards splattered on the round window.

"I found you quite attractive." He told her honestly.

She stayed quiet for a moment before speaking once more. "So you are only dating me because you think I have sex appeal?"

"No." He quickly corrected, shaking his head. "You have qualities I like too." She stayed silent in response to this, waiting for him to continue. He did so. "You are a hard worker, I know that if you really want something, you won't dare stop until you have it." He started. "You are an intellectual which means I won't have to try as hard because I can just ask you questions about things." He added with a smile. "I love how when you are concentrating, your jaw clenches tight. I like when you see something you like, you stop and stare- you don't care if anyone thinks you are weird or a freak because your opinion is the only one you truly appreciate." He went on. "I like that you are a self standing woman who doesn't follow normal social norms. You're not afraid to do what you want, when you want." He took a breath. "I think most importantly, you have a smile that makes my chest tight and my heart even tighter. Need I go on?"

Wednesday shook her head. "No, mi amor." She murmured quietly. Silence fell between the two as the heavy downfall of rain became the primary sound once more. "Do you think... We will have a family?" She questioned.

"Do you?" He asked back.

"I'm not sure." She answered honestly. The idea of children scared her. But at the same time, she felt everything would be okay if Y/N was by her side.

He nodded, pulling her into his side. "In that case, I suggest we don't have to worry about it for the time being." He assured her with a small smile.

"Do you you think you will get bored of me?" She asked, her head dropping to his shoulder.

"I could never." He quickly answered, a little take a back. "How could I? You're always keeping me on my toes."

"Yes... perhaps I should be more worried about you boring me." She deadpanned, a creeping smile spreading over her plump lips.

He returned with a small scoff before kissing the crown of her head. She sighed in response as she finally let her eyes close, wrapping the covers over her more.

"You are warm..." She hummed quietly as she leant into him.

"You're wonderful." He murmured back. But there was no sly reply or cocky remark. Instead, all Y/N could hear was the gentle sound of Wednesday's breathing. He looked down and noticed she had fallen asleep. "You're beautiful. You're adorable. You're kind." He continued as he moved his position to hook an arm under the creases of her knees and around her back, picking her up as he stood. He carried her to her bed and lay her down, and kissed her forehead before laying beside her. Before he could even get under the covers, Wednesday had latched onto him.
