I could feel the aircraft touch down, the ride finally ending. I noticed the eyes shifting toward me again as we were cleared to go. Price put me mostly in charge for this mission, which pissed Ghost off, but he wouldn't argue for now.

"An American, Austrian, Brit, and a Scott walk into a bar," I joked as we hopped off the plane. I heard a small snort from Soap and a confused hum from König. We were quickly met by army officials who stopped to double check who we were.

"Lieutenant David Jackson at your service. Sergeant...?" A male with short brown hair and green eyes saluted me. I returned it before relaxing.

"Sergeant Y/n L/n. Lovely to meet you. Captain John Price has informed you of our mission?" I introduced myself, the men behind me awkwardly waiting. It felt weird to be in charge. I liked when Ghost handled things.

"My pleasure," David grabbed my hand, kissing the back of it. I cringed internally, hearing a small growl from König. "Yes, I was informed of your reasons here. How is it to be back home?" He laughed, glancing behind me.

"Strange. There's no smog," I chuckled, noticing his eyes wander to the men behind me. "My apologies. Skull face is Lieutenant Simon "Ghost" Riley. Mohawk is John "Soap" McTavish. And then mountain man is König. These men will be joining me for this mission." I pointed to each one, watching their reactions. Ghost held his nonchalant demeanor as always. Soap seemed like his bubbly self and König held his intimidating stance. David nodded, backing away slightly.

"What a... collection," He paused, a small laugh under his breath. I lifted an eyebrow, but he opened his mouth to speak again. "You know Wires doesn't take well to outsiders."

"Why ya think I'm here. Ain't nothing wrong with a couple of outsiders," I replied. Wires was a strange call sign, but I didn't want to find out why. David glanced behind me again before giving a weak nod. I sighed, knowing I was talking to a brick wall.

"Take us to our quarters. We've been flying for hours," Ghost spoke up, irritation leaking through his heavy accent. The army man gave a sharp glare before looking back at me.

"Tell the Brit to watch his mouth," He spat, clearly itching for a fight.

"Lord, can't have shit. Ghost, be kind. If you will please Lieutenant, lead us to where we will be staying. We would like to talk and rest before continuing," I smiled, already knowing this mission was going to be a pain in my ass. David sighed, waving his arm to tell us to follow. He led us to a fleet of Hummers, pointing us to a black one.

"Your allowance. The general will not be pleased if this doesn't come back in one piece," David lectured as the boys climbed in. I hoisted myself up, "No promises." And with that I closed the door, sighing.

"I do not like him," König immediately announced. Soap and Ghost chimed in in agreement. I sighed, starting the car up.

"I know. Let's just get our information and get out. Price is counting on us," I stated, shifting the car into drive and following directions.

"More like you. We're just baby sitting you," Soap spoke. I could hear the frustration in his voice.

"I didn't ask to be in control," I barked, the lack of sleep eating away at my patience.

"Then tell Price you can't do it." Soap shrugged. I slammed my foot on the brake, scaring the shit out of everyone. I harshly shifted the car into park as I turned around to face him.

"John! If you have a fucking problem stop being a baby and use your fucking words!" I bellowed, my eyes glaring daggers into his. He shrunk back into his seat, clearly surprised by my yelling. I huffed, shifting back into my seat. Ghost's brown eyes stared at me in a mix of anger and concern. I shouldn't of yelled, but the amount of stress piling onto my shoulders was getting to be too much. Soap was still hitting on me, I couldn't relax around König, Ghost was mad I lost my shit on his boyfriend, I've got a dead arm, no time to train for Russia, and now having to pry information out of some shady dude!

I continued driving, the car deadly silent besides the road noise. I followed directions until we met with a cabin hidden up on a hill. I parked the car, no one daring to move. I sighed, deciding to break the silence.

"I'm sorry for shoutin', Soap." I glanced out the drivers window, watching for anything fishy.

"Yer alright lass. Shouldn't of poked the bear, aye?" He laughed, the air seeming to ease slightly. I hopped out of the car, hearing the doors behind me open and shut as they climbed out. I fumbled with the key rings I was given until I found something that looked like a house key.

The door quickly opened, showing a cozy cabin with a small kitchen and fireplace. I walked in, slipping my shoes off before exploring the rest of the house. Of course there were only two bedrooms.

"This is beautiful." The German accent filled my ears as I slowly felt his warmth against my back.

"Better in the mountains," I commented, not a fan of the dry and hot weather. König noticed the bedroom situation, immediately pulling me to him.

"Sleep with me? Do not let Soap near you," He ordered, his grey eyes staring into mine. I could feel my brain telling me to pull away yet my heart made me stay in his grip.

"Yeah. I'll room with you."
