The days continued, months went by and finally almost two years had passed.
It was late 1997, Akabane Karma was still living her life as she did the first time she opened her eyes on that faithfull morning almost three years ago in 1995.
Even though she was now seven years old, she still didn't go to school yet. Her parents did suggest that she should attend a private elementary school however she declined, as it would take up a lot of her time.
Over the past years nothing interesting happened, she still trained with the founders of Black Dragon, had study sessions with Asano, beat up bad kids every now and then and terrorized the local delinquents.
Though the uneventful years were just a calm before the storm, soon it will be 1998 and both Takemichi and Mikey might return. If they did not return then in 1999 Shinichiro would return to the past on the 30th of July.
She would finally know the answer to her long awaited question. That is; what timeline is she in.
Depending on the timeline, she must act accordingly.
It makes her wonder, if she were to stop Shinichiro from giving the toy to Mikey, he will never become a time leaper?
If he doesn't become one, neither would takemichi. In the manga, information about the previous time leaper was never shown. Not even a name.
All she knows of him is that he was a homeless wanderer with no identified purpose in the future where Mikey died young.
Right now, he might not even be a time leaper.
So finding him would be like searching for a book in an unorganised library.
Due to the lack of information, all she could do was wait for the time to pass.

In the chaos that her mind had become, she had forgotten something. Something that even if she did remember, she wouldn't deem it important.
It would soon be christmas, which also happens to be her birthday.
She did not celebrate her previous three birthdays either. But, that didn't stop Grandma Yuri from baking her a cake and give her gifts every year. She also did recive gifts from her parents, though they were never there to celebrate it with her.
The other people she knew did try to ask her when her birthday was, however she dogged the question everytime.
Asano gave up on asking, and would give her gifts on a random day as a birthday present.
