September 10th 1998

The red head stirred in her bed, her mind was awake, yet her body coddled her to sleep more. The softness of her bed and the pillows around her brought her unimaginable comfort.

‘Oh! To be rich enough to own the most comforts of life~’

She thought as both her mind and body gave into the sweet calling of slumber.

A decision she would regret soon-

A few hours later™

Karma's eyes flew open as she stretched her body and yawned. She tried blinking her eyes to remove the sleep that clouded them. She shifted around the bed and groaned.

‘I wanna sleep some more…’

Just as she was about to close her eyes and go to sleep again; her eyes caught the sight of the alarm clock.

It read 10:35 am.

Now usually if she saw this, she would be glad that she got to sleep in. Grandma wakes her up at 7 am, as Mr. Minamoto would come by at 8:30 am to conduct her daily lessons.

But she realised he wouldn't be coming today, as yesterday she gave her monthly test. Which meant she would be free for a few days before her studies began again.

‘OH HELL NO!’ The red head tried getting up in panic only to get tangled in the bed sheets and tumbling onto the ground.

She had made a plan months ago! She had studied double the amount required and gave the test altogether; the test that was originally supposed to be given in two parts, that is once a month.

But she had requested to Mr.Minamoto, that she would finish both the learning materials from August and September in August itself and give the test before the 10th of the ninth month.

She did this precisely because she wanted to check if those two would be back from the future. Due to her plan she would be free on the 10th, which would allow her to spy- ahem- investigate by going to the Sano home.

She even had in mind to go early, as Takemichi went to the Sano household instead of heading to school, which would be around 8 O'clock.

“SHIT! I forgot Grandma doesn't wake me up early when I have my days off!” She cried out in horror.

“Damn it! All that hard work! Only for me to sleep in?!” She quickly scrambled to get up from the ground and stood up.

'I shouldn't have broken so many alarm clocks!'

Yes, she didn't own an alarm clock. As in the last three years or so, she had destroyed more than fifteen alarm clocks. So when she had broken the last one six months ago, Grandma didn't get her a new one. Afterall, she had to come up to her room and wake her up regardless, as the red head just ends up shutting it and going back to sleep.

‘Should I still go and check?’

‘No! There is no use! The time has already passed! Did Takemichi go to school after running away with mikey? Or did he ditch school to discuss their situation?’

‘Even if I go now, who's to say they aren't already done with the conversation? If not, and they are still talking, who's to say that I would even find them?!’

She sighed and sat back down, “Man, I messed up.” she mumbled.

“Well, what's done is done I guess; no point in raging about it.” She laid down on the bed.

‘Are you anxious and troubled? Want the best solution? The answer is sleep.’ she thought as she tried going back to sleep.

‘I will deal with this later, I can't think straight like this anyways.’ she concluded and drifted off to slumber.

Karma contemplated what to do. She could follow Mikey to see if he meets up with Takemichi. She knows where the Sano house is afterall; courtesy of Shinichiro.

But that is a high risk gamble. If it's the older Mikey, that means she isn't just following a goofy eight year old. No, she would be following a grown ass man, who is a borderline criminal madman. He might not be Bonten crazy; not yet at least, but he has already been influenced by the Dark Impulse.

So what if he worked with Takemichi for a better future? We weren't given much Information on the conclusion of what happened to him. Was he still crazy? Was them travelling back in time undoing the dark impulse as Shinichiro won't travel back? It seems to be the case.

But at the end of the day wasn't he still the same person? Despite being free from that damn curse?

So, that plan was a no go. She didn't wish to die an early death.

Hanging around the Sano home would also mean Shinichiro and Emma might catch her accidentally.

If Shinichiro found her, he would definitely drag her to his house. Which is exactly what she doesn't want.

She doesn't know where Takemichi lives. She knows how his house looks but not where it is. Hell, he might not even live at the same place right now. So, she can't follow him.

Mikey was oblivious to Sanzu following him around, right? Or did he know and let it be?

‘Ugh! Should I ask Shinichiro if something happened today?’

‘Would that work?’ She wondered.

“Well, I have no other options.” She sighed and went outside to look for the teen.

“How was your day today?” asked the red head.

“Eh? Are you sick? Since when do you care about my feelings?” the teen asked back, baffled.

“You want me to take you to the doctor kid?” asked Benkei.

“Did I hit you too hard at yesterday's training?” questioned an equally concerned Wakasa.

“Well this is it guys; the brat finally lost it, or she is plotting something.” muttered Takeomi.

“Hey! What's up with those reactions?! I ain’t that mean! I can be kind.” She protested.

“Yep, let's take her to the doctor.” Shinichiro agreed, nodding at Benkei.

‘Well that was another failure’ the red head grumbled inside her head.
